Listening to Chip Kelly, this guy was the leader of their defense. A vocal leader.

That's something this team is going to need going forward. Question is whether and how fast the kid can earn it.

I think we got one of the best players in a really weak draft. Not a ton of big play talent in this draft and we got a guy that can create turnovers and cover a TE down the field. I like what we did, hope it really works out well.

Tom Brady is apparantly missing from his home right now....Seriously...I don't have the link but his wife has called police and is really worried. Apparantly she came home from shopping and found a pair of "soiled" underwear in the living room floor. There was also a trail of " splattered droppings" going from the living room into the master bedroom. Upon entering the master bedroom she found that Tom's suitcase was missing but there was no note. She is very concerned and police are now looking for Tom Brady. She apparantly found his Patriot jersey soaked in urine as well. Tests are being done to find out if it's his urine.
This apparantly took place between the 8:30-8:45 time tonight!
    I hope Brady is ok.

Edit: I just got info from another reliable source that Rob Gronkowski is missing as well from his home with apparantly similar findings left behind.

Speed, usually a OL is meant to slide over, and, misread, which is what he will do in Miami

Qb reads that he is going to drop into coverage, instead, he blitzed, this is why that my happy bits are liking this a lot.

Oh, so you will go 2 Te sets?

Counter move, this 6'6 athletic freak, he may cover, he may blitz, happy ****ing birthday Patriots.

This is why I'm thrilled, think JT in 2006, would love to see a mashup of JT and Jordan highlights

From 12th to 3rd in one second flat?

Sounds like Al Davis paid a visit to our war room today, hellbent on rattling some chain.

Does it make sense to anyone else besides me to say that Jordan is sort of the Tavon Austin of the defense?

Freakish athleticism, maybe a bit undersized for role, play multiple spots, you just want him on the field and you can be creative in how you use him....

I love the pick. If you look at the draft value chart they grabbed a 2200 point player for 1680 points. Oakland was desperate and Ireland tea bagged them. I just wouldn't be surprised to see Bess traded to his home town team for peanuts.

Is there any concern about that stat of him playing less than 50% of snaps? I don't necessarily buy it but just wondering what the gurus think

He used to be one. Maybe he could be a red zone receiver like when we get down inside the 10.

And I got my online *** kicked for saying that is nonsense.

So I watched of hours or CFL games, knew it was B$, when I see Jordan, I know what I'm seeing.

Dude plants that front foot, he's gone, just wow, the counter arguments to me sound like the same crap that was said of Kraken when he signed in Miami.

I know Ck is not a fan of Vernon, I am, see some things in him, body lean and speed/power, we are getting dangerous when it comes to get after the passer..we're kinda loaded.

Eh...I would've rather just stayed at 12, taken Rhodes and used a 2nd or 3rd on Cornelius Washington. Also if we were going to move up for a pass rusher I would have taken Ansah.

Reason I don't like the pick much is cause I feel he's so raw in many areas. Especially tackling, I think he needs to get stronger too, he doesn't have a bull rush. Playing opposite of Wake will definitely help relieve pressure but I'm not going to expect much from his first year. I think he could have slid down a bit more, but oh well, I hope he has a Jason Taylor type career instead of Gholston's.

I definitely had Jordan as the top pass rusher in this draft. If we can somehow add Menelik Watson I'll be thrilled. IMO Watson could be the best T in this draft when all is said and done. (and I really liked Fisher and Joeckel) While we're at it, I believe that Bailey could potentially end up being the best WR in this draft. I'd consider that trifecta a great draft regardless whomever else we picked.

The only thing that scares me about Jordan is his size. I wish he weighed a bit more, but having said that, I hope he physically develops like JT did (strength and durability despite size). If he does, we got ourselves a nice pick.

The only really frustrating thing, and this is very much after the fact, hindsight being 20/20 is Tank Carradine is still on the board. Which means we could of drafted whoever at 12, traded up for a less costly pick than 42, and got a great rusher. Although, I think Miami might have bigger hopes than just pash rushing for DJ. In which case, everything worked out as it should have.

I wanted a pass rusher with our first pick, and we got one. And Ireland got pretty damn good value too in the trade up. Coaching staff got their player and that also makes me happy. Honestly, I don't know when I was this excited for a 1st round pick. Tannehill was exciting, but we all knew it was coming. The shock value puts DJ over the top for me.

I hope we trade up in the second round to recoup our 2nd, and ditch one of the 3rds. Go OL and TE in round 2 and Bailey/Swope in round 3.

Last season Miami had a huge problem with getting teams off the field on third down. Hopefully Dion Jordan will help fix that problem.

Just thrilled it wasn't a guard. Don't know enough about the player to poo poo or praise it. But if this kid is as good as some speculate, can't wait to see what he can do with Wake. I liked seeing Ireland be aggressive and going up instead of down to take an impact player.

We needed a stud DE opposite of Cam Wake. Now we got the double whammy on each side of the DL !!!! I'm loving this.

I thought of the same analogy, you beat me to it...he is a vertical and horizontal defensive weapon..can flip his hips and drop, come out of the slot into the flat and hit, then can rush the passer..can cover so much of the field athletically, with football instincts to finish and tackle...

Jordan definitely would not have been there at #12, so it was a good move. If I remember correctly Jason Taylor was tall and skinny when he first came to the Dolphins. Matter of fact I think he weighed a little over 240 lbs when he first arrived. If he turns into anything even close to a Jason Taylor he will be a steal for Ireland. I hope our next pick is as good.

Would you trade next year's 1st for a 2nd to take Watson? Remember, JJ did that when he took Patrick Surtain. Surtain turned out to be well worth a 1st rounder.
