couldn't disagree more.

it has a gothic font feel to them which fits perfectly with "Vikings". THAT is what I call a perfect concept design.

Our fonts don't say Miami at all. They say cheapest screen print font for t-shirt jerseys for the softball tournament this weekend.

They didn't even go with a custom font. Just piss poor.

I think I like Vikes most too. I'm fine with their font personally.

 

True story:

Rocky used to be in a Culture Club cover band that had a punk twist, called Eric and the Sperm Helmets.

He was one of the sperm helmets.

 

And almost as big as the sleeve logo.

 

I'm so freaking bothered by the same boring colored socks.

Every team should have at least 3 / 4 different color themes.
If they wear the same sock color for both uniforms throughout the year i will be so disgusted!!!!

Unless we win the Super Bowl... hahah

 

It's as if the Dolphins don;t know that if they scroll down on the upper left side where it says "Times New Roman" that you can change that.

Dunno, something Spanish. The Marlins went that way with horrific result.

Unlike others here I lament the lack of orange in their new uniforms. But oh well.

 

This. Green Bay, San Francisco, NYG, Buffalo. All sharp looking uniforms. And that is a black outline on the numbers, guys, holy denial. It would be consistent with the art deco look that seems to be a big part of Miami. Marlins are black with fluorescent colors, but the Dolphins just have a little bit, it really isn't that distracting. The numbers do indeed seem to harken back to our teams in the 80's. I remember them being kind of skinny like that.I'm pleased, would have liked to have seen stripes, but I can't complain. They look sharp.

 

It doesn't have that stupid drop shadow crap...I guess the ones who don't like it must of loved last years design, and if you loved last years, then I don't trust your style taste..lol

 

I'm with you. I am still saying the helmet stripe, numbers, will match the stripe on the shorts- orange, dark blue, aqua, dark blue, orange, until proven wrong.

I think it's the exposure that's not showing the orange.

 

I'm retracting my statement about that trim being black, the photographs are just too ****ty. It could very well be the dark blue, guess we'll find out on Thursday.

Based on the white balance and how they appear when you zoom in to see it pixel by pixel, I think the trim is black.

 

Thought that too. Armando has a picture up on his blog though and with the naked eye test, the number trim looks to be the same color as the underside of the dolphin logo. I'm looking at it on a phone with a cracked screen though, FWIW.

 

Was really hoping the 'color change' was going to be getting closer to UM's green than making it more like the Jaguars' version of teal.

The white unis are awesome. The aqua ones look like a t-shirt - they need some sort of style - some piping or stripes or SOMETHING.

 

No shaded numbers. I'm happy. Bout time the uniform style left the 1990s.

 

But we might have added Black which puts us right back in the ........1990's!

 

You can faintly see an orange strip on the white uniform helmet. I hate the logo, agree the jersey looks like a plain tshirt and I agree about the font too. I liked the cursive "dolphins".

 

Dolphins are prob pissed. They wanted to show off the unis the 17th, nfl push them back, now they are doing it draft day and they get leaked two days before hand.

 

I'll rephrase the question: How does a font say Miami without saying Don Johnson, "Look what I found on the internet when I googled free fonts" and Reno, too?

 

Wow... the uniforms look like crap.... what a let down

 

Look at the stripe on the shorts with the aqua jersey. It's clearly dark blue and not black. Now, why would the shorts have blue in the stripe but the jersey and helmet have a black stripe? Would make no sense whatsoever.

 

Oh yeah, should have just released them early in the first place. Guess that will be a forewarning to other teams.

 

well they are a bit blah like it sounded, but I do like the clean look. I love the way the logo is on the helmet, I wasn't a big fan of it at first then as I started seeing that it was straight instead of flipped upwards I liked it more.
The stripe on the helmet looks in the picture to be blah as hell, hopefully there is a orange stripe on either side along with the aqua and (dark blue/black whatever) I didn't like the mockups with just the orange outlining the aqua. to me the pants strip had to match the helmet strip so I am hoping that's the case.

I too don't see enough orange BUT its a picture with poor lighting so I guess we will see. I would rather have stripes instead of the logo on the jerseys but is what it is. The font I actually do like, I always HATED the cursive font.

What I am very pleased with is no aqua pants. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Also keep in mind, that in 5 years they can modify the uniform to add things here or there. Remember the Pats uniforms when they came out? they had the big logo on the shoulder and the over all look was bad. It became much more refined 5 years later.

Over all I look at it like painting my truck, start simple then add as u go. Like I said it could be better but isn't over the top like some uniforms around the league are. They have five years to work on it.
