    Maybe after the draft.

I have a feeling they've targeted a LB in the mid rounds somewhere.

no. He is gone for reason more then his salary. The locker room does not need Karlos Dansby, its a much better place without him.

That would be interesting. With Misi in the last year of his contract I wouldn't be surprised if they spent a relatively high pick to finish the LB overhaul. Seems pretty clear they want faster LB's who can blitz well. As long as whoever they draft handles coverage well...I'm good with it.

Unless we've secretly got Dolphins players posting here, the idea that Dansby is some sort of locker room cancer is way over the top. The coaching staff might not have liked some of his comments, but they were reportedly willing to keep him on the roster at a reduced cost. A cost that at this point he's unlikely to get on the market.

I think it's worth a look after the draft. I think the team and the player could both benefit from waiting at this point.

Pissing competitions between your average every day Joes can go pretty far. Between gladiators, I can only imagine. I'm usually not one to give a crap about the locker room. If you play like a beast, you can say all of the beastly things you desire. Don't think one should but if one gets it done on the gridiron, I look the other way. Anyway, forget the locker room. I don't think they'll get along on the field. Older superstar rejected for a younger up and coming super star. Sounds like 2 male lions to me. Draft well. End of depth problem.

Id be surprised. I dont think it was his play in the field as much as his mouth in locker room that led to him being replaced.

Yeah, it is mildly amusing how many here seem to know what went on in the locker room between Dansby, his teammates, and the coaches, when all any of us have seen is a few select clips on Hard Knocks. Dansby played most of last season at a pretty high level with his arm in a brace due to a biceps tear. Lesser players would have hung up the cleats for the season. I'll take a wild guess and say his gritty performance endeared him to Kevin Coyle and George Edwards.

I seem to recall him dropping some Int's b/c of the brace.

To me, you are not going to have all pro's all over the field, but really good is obtainable and that is Dansby

For sure, I am just speculating about why Dansby was let go. I think his play on the field was fine, so Im jyst guessing that it had to do with something else. Maybe it was his contract and they would bring him back at a reduced price tag.
