I'm a big RB fan (since the Ricky days), so with that and this video courtesy of Omar Kelly http://landing.newsinc.com/shared/video.html?freewheel=91082&sitesection=dash&VID=24742627 Pouncy guarantees 1300 yards for Miller next season. I enjoyed watching him last year and felt he should have been used more. What do you all think? Personally, he's one of the players I'm excited about watching next season.
Was a big RW fan and was disappointed when he "retired". Not much so since i got an Authentic RW 3rd Jersey for $100 the following offseason! As for Lamar Miller, he showed some explosiveness at times, but i feel he wasn't utilized enough. From what I did see, I feel he'll have a big year (Should our O-Line stay Healthy and Focused). Kinda hard to split carries between Bush and Miller last year, so i feel we'll see more of what he can do this season. My prediction is he'll break 1,000 yds rushing with 8 TDs on the season, that's just my opinion though
I still have a white authentic 34 jersey I'm hoping he'll stay healthy with Thomas there to spell him. Should stay pretty fresh too. Maybe at times both Miller and Thigpen could line up in the backfield to create mismatches. I haven't seen anything of Jonas to know what he can do or where he could fit in. I liked that Miller seemed to hit the holes faster and didn't hesitate like Bush did at times.
Man....did Reggie hesitate a little too much. I noticed plenty of times where it seemed he held back, i'm sure the coaching staff took notice as well. Hated seein him go but is probably for the best. There was one game where the broadcaster stated "It's like he's being shot out of a cannon", when regarding to Miller's speed/explosiveness, gave me a chuckle. Lol
I may be a little biased because he went to my former high school and played at my favorite college, but I think he has big time ability. I think had he stayed at Miami another year he'd be the #1 back in this class and in the discussion to go in the 1st round. Everyone knows about his great speed and elisiveness, but he's not a small guy and as his career went on at the U he got much more physical. After he hurt his shoulder he toned the physicality down a bit, but I think that's an area he can be better than many think in. He's also a much better receiver than he was used last year. He was regularly flexed out in college. If he makes strides in pass protection and learns the offense better so he can stay on the field I think he can be a very productive back.
I know a lot didn't think we would get rid of reggie, some of us did, but it Sounds like Pouncey understands the limitations to your running game that a Reggie bush skillset provides.. .
Maybe. Then again, maybe he'd have made the same prediction with Reggie if he were still on the team.
I honestly think more than that he sees the type of skillset Miller has. Let's not forget that while he had limited opportunity, he showed some good things last season when given the ball. A 4.9 ypc is nothing to sniff at. And I'm sure Pouncey saw even more flashes in practice when he was probably given more opportunity.
I got a different impression, especially when he mentioned that Lamar was sitting behind some high priced players, followed by a guarantee that Lamar would get 1300.
Yes, that to, he seemed excited about the kids talent and the potential to block for his particular skillset.
