    Anybody fans of the old Evil dead series? I saw the remake last night and thought it was a really good remake of the original. It has some different twists to it so the story is not exactly the same as the original, but very similar. Lots of gore, has a good 80's horror flick kinda feel to it. Definitely worth seeing.

    I found this;

    seems a little confusing, but overall, I think evil dead fans are in for some good times!

    Same here....it did lack the one liners you would get from ash. There were several times something would happen and I was like "here comes a good one liner"...but there was nothing. Now, I haven't seen the original evil dead but twice. Seems like it was a little more serious than evil dead 2 and army of darkness. .....That makes me wonder what the new evil dead 2 (if it comes out) will be like? Im hoping for the same, but with a little more of the dark comedy splashed in it...

    Kind of hard for me to want to watch this since it won't have Bruce Campbell. I'll probably wait till it comes out on blue ray. Also that ensures no one can here me scream during the scary parts.

    Yea same, no Bruce to me makes it cash grab remake. I'll prolly watch it when it comes out on video, but can't justify movie ticket to see it.

    Eight dollars and well worth it if you like gore or you are an old fan of the original.
    Brutal film..... I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

    I saw it and liked it as well. For the first bit of it I was like eh..but then it got better and closed hard. It had some really great visuals in it.

    Really my only complaint was not involving the main character as much into the action. Seemed like he was just there for the most part.

    I'm a big fan of the original, and it's good to know this remake was pretty good. I wonder if they'll make a sequel too, although Bruce Campbell MADE that sequel. I've heard several good things about "Evil Dead," more good than bad. Unlike the recent "I Spit on Your Grave", "Straw Dogs" and "Texas Chainsaw" remakes. "Carrie" is the next horror movie remake coming out.
