Well I am targeting high upside guys. The biggest issue that hurts Slay is his tackling. Slay can easily be a shut down corner in the NFL. Evans posses all-around skills and is improving as a cover guy. Lots of scouts penciled in Logan at the start of the year to show huge improvement but he didn't. He has great burst just needs better technique. Finally if Pough played for a bigger school he could easily go top 64. I like the guys I have taken. Sure I missed out on Rambo but I'm happy with how things are turning out. Still ending up with some of my guys.
No I have gotten BK'd plenty so far. Sylvester Williams Terron Armstead Baccari Rambo Williams was a long shot, Armstead could have legitimately fell to me and Rambo was really my fault. Has there been anyone who hasn't had their target taken before their selection?
I didn't see the injury you guys are talking about happen, but Lattimore is running again and his injury was pretty gruesome. Hell, Shaun Livingston had one of the most horrific knee injuries I've seen in the NBA, and he is still playing and can dunk.
I keep watching just based off the reactions of the bench, the crowd behind the bench, and the duke player that made the shot. br00tal.
If there is an award at seasons end for 'best reaction to a prior draft pick'. BK wins it hands down for his freak out on my Rambo pick ;p And damn I was going to grab Pough but I couldn't let Gratz sit there with my late 2nd round grade on him. To have pulled the double BK though........man.
I saw the injury to McCallum, McGahee and Lattimore while watching those games. Those dont even compare imo. Bone isnt meant to break skin and when you can see it break skin by 6 inches...theres a serious problem.
If you moved up and selected Pough...... I really don't want to think about this. Exactly. I'm thinking he had some sort of mineral deficiency or has Osteoporosis.
for a hot minute I was gonna take Barrett jones there with my 2nd...then it came Williams/jones/Watson...then a late nite suggestion made me snag the dt instead. felt good enough about dez, Harris, and Beasley with witten and Gonzalez as receiving options.
Would have been delicious. I still need to add a LB at some point but I might wait till the undrafted's that I started researching. I got 3 starters..it's really the backups at OLB that need filling. There are so many sliders right now while LB is being a bit overdrafted it might make better sense.
I don't care if you like it, I love it. He's my 3rd favorite back in the entire draft behind Lacy and Ball. Bernard is up there, but he's a different kind of back.
Ugh, I wish I could talk about some of the RB that hasn't been taken yet. Damn it people start picking RB.
Like Teflon I had him on my radar, I even told Mach that he was my guy in the draft. However team needs vs luxury values had me move in the way I did. With the Wilcox spot I had a few guys, Franklin, Bell and some guy who played the "Spur" position but thought he'd be too much of a player I already have on my roster in terms of playing safety/cover linebacker, kind of like Sterling Moore. It's one of those drafts where you can give up picking in the earlier rounds and still grab a lot of good prospects with how deep the class is and even the talent levels are between tiers.
Only player that I really wanted that I haven't gotten is kiko Alonso. I feel my draft has gone fairly well.
I'm not a big fan of Bell's game in the NFL. Not a true power back, no 2nd gear. There are some backs left that I have higher than Bell.
I don't know if I really 'missed' a player so to speak. My draft is usually pretty fluid moving up and down. If I missed on Greene or Rambo.......perhaps.
I don't think he's a true power back either, but I don't think he's Ron Dayne either, but I don't really see a TJ Duckett in the draft either.
but the question is, would you ring my bell? Alright guys lets finish this in a few days. I look forward to the real draft then we get to compare how we did.
