The hardest prospects I have trouble finding problems with are
    Cooper
    Werner
    Joeckle
    Star
    Millner
    Manti
    Allen

the last two took some thought but god they just PERFORM

Manti certainly didn't perform in the most important game of his career.

Yeah, I wouldn't include Dee Milliner, Bjoern Werner, Lane Johnson as "elite".

I think that's confusing 'best in this draft' with 'will be best in the league', which is what elite means to me.

Warmack is the consensus, it seems.

The truly elite prospects in the class probably come down to the linemen; Warmack, Cooper, Fisher, Joeckel, Floyd are all players who should be at the top of their trade for many years ahead.

For me after that you're into arguable territory, i love Dion Jordan as a prospect and see him as a potential star outside linebacker but there are good judges who don't and have concerns about aspects of his game. For me that's true of basically everyone in this draft outside of the first five i mentioned.

playing against one of the most dominant offensive lines in college football and your defensive line being not very good, every LB will struggle to look good

I think Jon Bostic will be a player in a 4-3 defense. Just a solid not spectaculer performer.

Except an elite one. Thus the topic of the thread.

Rarely if ever have I seen a LB fly around like Ogletree, and Floyd can flat out haul for a 300 plus pound DT, solid player overall, disrupter and difference maker. In a draft fairly devoid of what I'd call elite talent, Lane Johnson's feet stand out to me, superlative. Menelik Watson is not considered elite, but I still think that he is an elite talent, inexperienced with his best football in front of him and not only immensely talented, but a natural. Considered a starter at FSU after the first day of practice with a year of football experience. That's saying something.

    ps I forgot Star Loutulelei

    Do you mean Tyrann Mathieu?

I'd say that Joeckel, Fisher, Warmack, maybe Cooper and Lotulelei are elite. Beyond that, I don't see it. And in a great draft, maybe only two of them are top ten. And I'm including Star even though he has a serious health red flag. To that end I might also include Alec Ogletree. After that........nope.

There is not a single player in this years draft that I would consider elite. Not a single immediate impact player in the bunch. There are however a lot of guys that are going to be very good given some time to develop.

    Players I like long term

Dion Jordan, Jones and Star are my three favorite defensive players. On offense there is really no one that I am in love with…. maybe Cooper but god ole mighty you cant take a OG in the first round… The three OT's that are going to be off the board by the time we pick are good but none of them scream franchise LT. WR's? The only one that I think has all the physical ability to be a true number one is Cord Patterson and he is going to take some time to develop. TE's? Not a one.

Problem with Ogletree whom I love as a player is that he appears to be just as dumb off the field as he is good on it. Wont happen but would take a flier on him in the 2nd round if NFL GM's we smart or dumb enough to let him fall that far.

Which, when you think about it, is the book on this draft.... OL, OL, OL, OL, DL... maybe LB.

    Best OL draft in awhile.

And a bumper crop of very good DL, just not elite level: Floyd, Richardson, Carradine, Werner, Ansah.

I don't have any truly elite prospects in this draft. There are some very good players, but I don't feel I could rank any of these guys among the top 2-5 in most drafts. (most drafts have between 2-5 elite prospects). I think this is a deeper draft than most, however.
