The fight is over the allocation of public dollars for an improved Sun Life Stadium. Norman Braman has been outspoken about this, and the Dolphins fired back, with CEO Mike Dee calling him a hypocrite. Braman, the former Philadelphia Eagles owner and south Florida-area car dealership owner was also very outspoken against Marlins Park. Oh, and Braman has called Dee an 'A-hole'. Owner Stephen Ross has said in the past that Braman is "full of sh*t." Braman previously spoke out against funding for Marlins Park. Good stuff and here's more from Armando Salguero. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...r-versus-the-dolphins-bitter-fight-is-on.html
When Rich Folks..ATTACK!!! Braman was infamous for not only being cheap in Philly, but his field was a death trap for players careers.
I'm not fond of teams getting public money, but this old fart needs to go back to his own city, and rot. He opposed the new Marlins stadium, and caused a one year delay on construction, and also opposed a bill that would have renovated the Orange Bowl for the phins back in the 80's.
I'm pretty sure it was Brian Billick(?), Balt. coach, who said he was not putting his team on the field until it gets fixed. There we seems all over the place and ruts under the carpet.
People like Braman keep the checks and balances in order........Not a fan , but I know its necessary. Because Ross really is a Money Hungry ***ksucker.
Hmm, can hear them now: "..I will NOT land my plan on the private runway whilst THAT MAN's G-8 is parked in front of the hangar!!!!"
Braman was 100% right about the Marlins deal. The Dolphins are desparate not to get lumped in with the Marlins so of course they are attacking him.
Didn't I hear something about Braman geting public money for his business at one point? This jackoff needs fo shut up. The Dolphins have always done things on their own dime unlike every other franchise in the NFL. I seriously don't see the problem with this, especially given the fact that there is an economic impact with Superbowls and the other events Ross wants to bring in. I understand the dollars are never what they say it is for the Superbowl, but it is there.
The Marlins plan wouldn't have been so bad if they weren't owned by a man who would haggle at a dollar store.
