I guess I could like the look of the white face mask with the white on white unis. To me white on white is what I picture as the classic look for this team. So classic unis with the new and improved logo works for me.

Regardless of how you try to dismiss my posts, I like that the original dolphin logo identifiably looks like he's JUMPING. Your twisted & strong criticism toward for me saying the new one doesn't look like a jumping dolphin is total crud. The upward arched posture of the new dolphin lends a greater perception that he's SWIMMING, not jumping.... or in the very least sends a confusing perception. Who cares if dolphins occasionally jump like that in the wild when they spend more of their time swimming like that. And that's the point; it's about PERCEPTION. There shouldn't be confusion as to what the dolphin is doing when there's a sunburst behind him. He should identifiably look like he's jumping.

Here's a Bing.com search of "dolphins jumping". So tell me what the perception appears most like, posture arched up or arched down?







Furthermore, how was our very own dolphin mascot's natural jumping posture during 3 years in his Orange Bowl pool? Again- PERCEPTION.
IMO the downward arched posture is coincidentally one aspect of tradition that could stand to remain unchanged b/c of its sentimental ties to our original mascot and his presence in the Orange Bowl. It's like you support the upturned posture just b/c it's different even though it sends a confusing message.

The first 2 words that come to mind from this quote are arrogant & condescending.

Personally, I love the original logo, with it's so-called flaws & all, and I also enjoy maintaining aspects of tradition when it comes to team-oriented stuff. Regardless, I happen to not like the new logo, period. It has NOTHING to do with being resistant to change as you ridiculously assert, and we don't need you arrogantly preaching what we do and don't mean. I know what the heck I mean, and I don't beat around the bush to express myself nor need to hide my intentions, not to you, not to anyone. Just b/c people have a debate about tradition it doesn't mean they're obtuse-minded and will crap on every concept proposed that doesn't closely resemble the original. For some silly reason you seem think the only people who can genuinely dislike the new logo are those who could care less about tradition.

I happen to love the colors of the 70's logo that are lighter and easier on the eyes rather than the new logo that's more contrasting and contains a non team color, navy. I actually enjoy the uniqueness of the helmet on the original dolphin; it's my favorite part and feel it adds character & distinguishability. The fact it's traditional makes it all the more appealing to me, HOWEVER you don't see me crying about the new logo not containing the helmet, do you?! Didn't think so!

The flaw in your thinking is foolishly believing that we supporters of tradition think we can halt change if we protest it in a fan forum. Get real, Raf. I know a logo change will happen regardless of my feelings, but that doesn't mean I have to like what's chosen, nor does it mean I can't carry on a debate about tradition. There are logo changes I can easily warm up to even though they're not of "traditional" look, and there's change I have every right to dislike, and this current logo is one I don't like b/c I simply don't like it. Am I clear?! Is that ok with you?!.. or do you want to persist on telling me what my mindset is or isn't, Dr Phil?

Really hope there's far more Orange in the actual jerseys. The new aqua-blue would contrast sooo ****ing nice with it. It's something I've been going on and on about since we first got the news of new logo/uni's. Owell, hopefully we'll have alternates. I'd really like the away jersey's to have orange numbers rather than aqua. Kind of like how the away Giants Jersey #'s are red. At the very least, orange outlining similar to the 72' jerseys.


I feel like I'm going to be crazy disappointing with this whole change. I already hate the logo... ugh.

EDIT: This whole "people hate change" is bull****. Plenty of people who dislike this new look were enjoying other fan mock ups and would of welcome the change.

From a dude from another forum who has been spot on with everything so far. Apparently he saw the design a while ago and he says the stripe on the helmet will be aqua with thin navy blue stripes on each side of the aqua stripe. He also mentioned the numbers were going to be navy blue with no shadows. He didn't mention the socks but I'm assuming the socks might also be navy blue. Would love to see how this looks like.

You are correct. My bad. He was talking about the outline. Yup it was Crazy. However, he did mention the aqua stripe on the helmet was around 70% and the navy blue stripes were about 30% of the stripe on the helmet. Anyway you can adjust that?

 

Really like the aqua but it's JMO that no longer having orange numbers/borders is depressing and kinda feels un-Dolphins'ish. Not sure why we need to ditch a team color like that.

honestly. i think the orange may stay in the aqua jersey. I mean Crazy only saw the White unis. and it makes looks better with orange in aqua.

 

This is what Crazy said about the helmet stripes..."The stripes down the middle are more 70/30 ratio than the 80/20 or 90/10 (teal to black)"

 

okay guys I think I finally have it. Based on info from Crazy, the leaked logo, and a little of my imagination here is close to, what I feel like our uniforms will look like in 2013

good point..... although I'd still rather see the orange outline around the aqua numbers since it's our team color, but oh well.
Wish we could've gone with thicker stripes on the sleeves like the Browns or Packers b/c IMO it's overkill to have logos on the sleeves when there's already a pair nearby on each side of the helmet.... but no sense cryin' over spilled milk.

I think it looks better turned upward slightly like this one. Personally feel less is better, too. IE: no navy.
No to the orange eyes though.

Wow you all sound like a bunch of women argueing over bridesmaid dresses. When out comes down to it, is not your choice anyway, just sure back and enjoy. Complaining about the logo isn't going to change it.
