Completely fair. I think there were more jaw dropping moments than head scratchers. I admitted earlier we probably took a hit at LT. I don't see that as significantly worse than our starting corners being Sean Smith and Richard Marshall.
What the hairy fack are you talking about?!?!?!? On the oline we lost one guy who didn't even play that well (was ranked 3rd of 5). On the WR front we added 2 players one of which was the top FA. I see no other reason for you to compare the two other than to purposely argue because you're bored. Make a real argument at least.
Yes were banking on Tannehill this year because we have spent the bank getting him the weapons we need to win...........
Thats it in a nutshell. They are doing everything they can to surround RT with the tools he needs to suceed. Their plan did not go perfectly but they are doing their very best to make RT look good. Long for whatever reason did not want to be a Dolphin any longer. I think I reland was counting on being able to resign him or they would of shopped him around last year for a trade. Itsa time to move on from that fix the line if possible. If not it presents a new challenge for RT. He will need to learn how to get the ball out faster or buy extra time since he wont have much of a pocket to work from if they cant fix this. Im thinking we may be seeing him work out of the shotgun more to compensate for this. Maybe we see a back staying in to also help out. It is an issue that Sherman is going to need to work out once he sees how RT has progressed in the offseason and what kind of chemistry his new offense has together.
Yep, I eluded to this a little bit already. Not only is Long gone, but the two guys we had that were instrumental in helping to buy time are gone as well. Both Fasano and Bush were used quite a bit to help out depending on what the defense was showing, and which type of patterns were going. As much as I hated the Tannehill pick to begin with, the one single thing I saw him do quite well while here at A&M was elude pressure and he actually did his best work while on the run. I actually think that its a matter of over thinking things for him (Yes, he is a very very smart dude) and he doesn't while improvising. That being said, you never want to plan that way in the NFL. I think that perhaps as important as anything is how well the backs pick up blocking assignments will be key. Bush was pretty good, and Thomas has shown he can help in pass pro. Once again, Wallace's speed means nothing if Tannehill is face first in the dirt.
