who cares Ro what he did in college or two years ago..

If your saying indirectly that because Steinbach was Philbins ex pupil some things got overlooked I would agree, cause there's no way with a body like that would he of gotten a contract from a good GM..I could see from the drills and his body, that he was toast, his hamstrings had completely atrophied, sure sign of a payer that has not trained accordingly, let himself go, didnt care anymore, or the setback from the injury was seriously long, he was fat in the gut with no power in his legs, rest of the body was sloppy, and he's an offensive lineman, no way he gets signed unless it was a charity case, or someone is missing something in the repertoire in the evaluation dept.

For me its a valid concern because of how pathetic the guy looked and acted, yet still got signed..

Again, as I said, knowing someone goes a LOT further than you might think. I'd assume that Miami probably thought he could drop some weight quick, get in shape, and round to form to be a top backup. It didn't work. No harm, no foul. Who else was out there that you'd have signed?

And as far as drills go, on Hard Knocks PRIOR to him signing, when he was working out with Braylon Edwards, they didn't show much at all. Yeah, he looked bad when he ran, but most linemen do. Other than that, they didn't show much that would indicate anything one way or the other. Again, PRIOR to him signing. So I think that, coupled with familiarity and what he did two years ago, that's why they signed him.

For example, it'd be the same as trading for Darrelle Revis. You're trading for Darrelle Revis from 2011, not last year where he played 2.5 games. Miami thought they were getting Steinbach from 2010, who was still a quality starter, to be a backup. Worth the risk. The risk didn't workout, and subsequently John Jerry was the only offensive player who played every single, solitary snap in 2012. No harm, no foul.

Well, at least he wasn't 400 right? A biscuit shy of it but we should give him credit for that.

I hear Jeff Ireland has a trap door in his office that opens up and leads to Jerry's feeding pen, Rancor style. Where do you think John Nalbon's been?!?!

Is this a dare? Because I'm willing to try and give you a worse visual.
