Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

Rumor is Miami may cut him, IDK why, because it dosn't effect our cap space, I just hope he doesn't sign with the Pats. Would be awkward. I hope they can work out a long term deal!

Not sure if that's a jersey. If it were I'd expect to see some hint of numerals on the shoulders.

 

Right b/c people are never wrong? It's like when everybody believed the world was flat or that the sun revolved around the earth... oh wait, never mind. The fact is that many people had a stylized picture of what a dolphin looks like in their heads. It wasn't an accurate picture though. Factually a dolphins proportions were as thick as the leak showed. As such it was an accurate symbol. And like other times when the facts in people's heads were inaccurate they eventually came around and realized they were wrong. Unless of course they're just being stubborn. I have met people in my life who still claim the sun revolves around the earth.

It's not the one's that turn gray that bother me. Gray I can live with. It's the one's turning loose!

All in all, this is the best of the new logos (save the fact that I really liked the Redfin design!) that has surfaced. I just hope the more (with apologies to the remaining Beatles) bluish color surfaces on the logo and the jersey.

I love the rich color of the aqua and the solid contrast to the orange, it looks clean and dark..the logo looks cool as long as the tail doesn't flip up..

Imagine a whole uni with just that aqua and orange color...cool right?

 

Only reason I don't buy that guys story is the same guy leaked the Jags jersey. Looks like a lot of trouble to go to if its both fake.

 

I don't think thats necessarily a jersey. Could just be a sideline shirt.

Love this latest leaked logo too. Definitely better than everything we've seen thus far, and 1000X better than the current logo.

I like the logo. Did a good job of removing the helmet.

I don't understand the criticism that it looks like a whale. Dolphins do look similar to whales.

 

I have - a dead one. It was a Biblical experience. "It stinketh!" This new, supposed to be real logo 'stinketh not.'* From the King James version of the NFL.

 

Some people on Twitter are saying Mike Dee has confirmed that logo isn't real... Nothing on Dee's twitter page.

Some kid also tweeted the phinsiders founder that his cousin is the graphic designer for the MD and that logo isn't it.

Also read that it's some kind of staffers shirt. Maybe relating to the stadium and not our actual logo.

We'll see...

I saw the logo months ago, sometime in November. Friend of friend kinda deal. I posted in detail about it on FH, but I cant seem to go back that far in my posts (only to December)

This is the exact logo I saw then. This is 100% real. I didn't post on ThePhins.com when this whole thing broke out then.

I suppose this is where I put my credibility on the line eh?

Naw, unless your dickey about it, no one will remember you being wrong or right about something like this. Need more of a history to even have credibility either way.

 

Wow I think those small changes really improved the prototype. The sun looks amazing, much better than the other sun. The Dolphin looks much more streamlined.

I'm still not sure if I like the change of the position, but it can grow on me. It looks like it's darting through the air at warp speed now. Funny how that white eye and smaller navy lines make it look so much better.

It doesn't seem like its "swimming". In the old logo, that position looked like when Dolphins jump through hoops or over poles at sea world. But in the wild when they're swimming together and jumping out of the water, they do look more like this leaked position.

And if that's the jersey, I like the color better. Looks like the original aqua, which they also used in the late 80s/early 90s?

 

Well hey I accurately posted the "insider hot hot info" about Starks being retained by Miami like 5 days before it happened!

Then again you could have made an educated guess and gotten that one right. Dammit. One day I will have e-cred.

 

I like it. A lot more than I like the original leaked version anyway.

Especially like the bluer aqua color.

This is not analogous to whether the earth is round or flat. It is not about objective facts.

It is about subjective communication.

The Dolphin logo is a symbol.
A symbol is communication.
If you are communicating something that isn't clear, the responsibility is on you.

I haven't seen the new Buccaneers logo (has it been released yet?), but if this in fact the new logo, I think we are the "modernization."
