Redskins welcome Cliff Avril. Wasn't cheap, but he is going to be great as a Leo in our new 4-3 under.
After passing out last night, and before I start drinking again, the Broncos would like to welcome Nnamdi Asomugha, Andre Carter, and Eben Britton to their team.
Felton Returning to Minnesota All Pro Fullback Jerome Felton is on his way back to the Minnesota Vikings, signing a 1 year deal worth just north of 2 million dollars a year. The Felton signing caps a frenzied free agent period for Minnesota. Felton is a key component of the Vikings rushing attack, so locking him up had to be considered a priority for the team. Minnesota also signed Wide Receiver Domenik Hixon. Hixon is expected to see the field as a potential starting wide receiver alongside Jason Avant, and will help offset the loss of Percy Harvin, who was traded earlier this offseason. Rounding out the weekend activity, Minnesota also signed Robert Turner to a modest deal believed to be worth around the veteran minimum. Turner is a versatile player who is capable of starting at both guard positions, center, and right tackle. Turner started all 16 games for the Rams a season ago, but is expected to be a valuable backup for Minnesota.
The Texans are happy to announce we have come to terms with OG/OT Geoff Schwartz for $1.1M. Schwartz is a guy that we feel should have gotten more playing time last year as he graded out extremely well when he did play in rotation with Fusco. PFF ranked him as the #3 OG in free agency after Levitre and Moore and we're excited to have him. We feel he would be able to play guard or right tackle for us, but as of now we have him penciled in at guard.
The Colts would like to welcome RB Stefan Logan and OT Rashad Butler to our team. Logan is a welcome addition to our return team.
Rather then bidding like crazy on Glover Quin upwards of 7M I have Richard Marshall or Earl Thomas available. Keep in mind Marshall is relatively affordable in terms of compensation and lesser salaried then where Quin is heading. Plus Marshall played excellent there for the half season he played FS when he was in Zona. He should be playing there full time...
Buckeye... I feel disrespected...
We'll start the draft this Saturday. I'll have a schedule up in the next day or two. Hopefully free agency clears up so I can hand out comp picks by Wednesday.
so the next guy without any holes on him on the dart board. it's going to be interesting to see BPA vs needs for some teams.
I think we will see a lot of quality offensive linemen in the 2nd round linger. Might be a few teams that will say **** it the value is too good. Interested to see what position gets ignored in the first 2 rounds. WR wont be one of them.
Lineman beyond the big names will linger that's a guarantee because everything thinks highly of their line now. I expect the second round to be dominated by RBs and teams reaching for some CBs. Since the DL is pretty deep this year there will be steals like Chandler Jones in the 3rd round last year.
So Bradshaw's pretty much making almost as much as he was scheduled to right now. What the hell were the Giants asking for that he wasn't just traded for?
I actually threw out some favorable trade options to people to get my trade down out of the way now. Now I can focus more on 2nd to 4th round guys. Might even trade one of those 2s down on draft day to get another 4. See how the board goes.
Holy crap...did I just see a $5 million bid on McKelvin? Man I wish we knew what the current 32 comp picks are right now...cause this could get interesting
