We hosted Lance Lewis....OL....and some linebacker with the last name Thomas...missed his first name. Bennett and Thomas are still in Miami....

I think you're starting to figure out how free agency works but you're not all the way there yet.

Gibson would be a head scratcher IMO.

 

It's basically inherent to big money free agency. I think most of those teams have had some degree of issue, the Patriots have done **** like sign Adalius Thomas which was a pretty awful move.

Depends on what "screwed" means. I don't think they're going to purge a bunch of players, but they likely won't be big players in free agency. 2013 is shaping up to be a quite good season to have money, and from this vantage point 2014 doesn't seem like a particularly good year for free agency.

The spending they've done this offseason isn't really different than what they've done before. They gave big money to Marshall and Dansby just like they did Wallace and Ellerbe. The Wallace contract is the only bad one on the books, and even then they gave themselves a decent out.
