am I supposed to throw a fit on the last minute Myers bid now? I'm so unversed with this. A tip of the hat to you sir, I expected nothing less. I shall be back!
****ing Jaguars GM! Goddamn ****ing ******* Mother****ing ****. *********************************************************. Disclaimer: I think the Jaguars GM is a nice fella, actually.
The Texans are pleased to announce the signing of Erik Walden to the veteran's minimum. We like him as a depth 3-4 outside linebacker who has some starting experience.
He is. Unlike myself who talked the Bears GM off Donald Thomas and onto Chad Rinehart.......and then bid on Rinehart (well he is going for too cheap...I can't believe he only got a Chris Clemons deal in real life). I r evil.
The Colts would like to welcome rb/wr Danny Woodhead, Wr Ramses Barden, and Wr Kevin Olgletree to the team. We would also like to give a late Welcome to Indiana native CB Tracy Porter and C/OG Roberto Garza.
Cant f**king stand last minute bids, can understand if it was ebay whhere u swoop in andd win last seconnd saving money by negating other bids. This just restarts the clock.
I know it happens been doing this for a few years, but in the past there were guys that did it on purpose, they could have bid earlier but intentionally waited. so now it just pisses me off cause i cant tell intent.
I signed Osi at 11:59pm and had an opening bid. Same **** happend to me the other night I was 3 minutes away from signing Osi and titans bid. Its what happens when you only have 5 bids
Could limit it..especially on day 1 next year by making bids last 24 hours unless topped....signings 22 hours. I'm sure people could do the math.....................maybe. Would limit first day sniping somewhat.
I get annoyed at the last-minute or last-hour bids of the bare minimum. It's like they're not even making a play at a free agent, as much as they're just trying to be a dick.
Would it? We could set up an online form for people to place bids. Once the first bid on a player comes in, the auction will close after 72 hours. Still keep the 5-bid max.
There would be. But there would be a lot less sniping, and things would move a lot faster. I'm not complaining either way.
The ONLY way it'd work is if we did one player, per position, per day. Otherwise people wouldn't be able to adapt their plans which is a huge problem IMO.
You'd end up with second tier free agents making more money after teams missed their first targets. At least this setup somewhat mirrors real life. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
Thats how it is in real life. There is no risk involved right now, and everyone has motivation to prolong the process.
