Welker in serious talks with Denver/Agrees to terms "@BenVolinPBP: Wow RT @AdamSchefter: Broncos in serious talks, trying to hammer out an agreement with Patriots WR Wes Welker. Decision expected today." Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
In the words of the immortal Brat Scott...."CAN'T WAIT !" He's been a Fins killer since he left here so let him move on...that's fine with me...poor Tommy won't have his security blankee....
Re: Welker in serious talks with denver... Im more than ok with this as well... Hows denvers salary cap situation? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Re: Welker in serious talks with denver... Apparently he is going back to patsies to see if they will match denvers offer. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Exactly, I reckon it was just smart negotiating to drive up his price more than anything else. Out of all the players in the NFL, there are some that really work/take hits and should be compensated accordingly; this guy is one of them.
If NE loses Welker, I will have nightmares about them using their ample stockpile of picks and moving way up in the draft to steal Tavon from under our noses.
Re: Welker in serious talks with denver... @JeffDarlington Hearing Pioli on @nflnetwork talk about Welker needing to think about his "rock star" status in Boston. News Flash: Welker doesn't care. Lmao Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Welker has leverage here, he goes to Denver they are the favorites, he goes to New England they are the favorites..... Erffing guy is too nice apparently....
Re: Welker in serious talks with denver... Albert breer is reporting on nfln right now that he's heading to Denver! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Re: Welker in serious talks with Denver/Agrees to terms @JeffDarlington RT @MichelleBeisner: Per @denver_broncos team source, the deal is done. Wes Welker is headed to Denver. #freeagency Life is good... Suck it new england Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
You have to draft Tavon Austin now. HAVE TO!!!!! If you don't get this dude, be ready to have him remind you what you passed on every single time we play the Patriots.
Crazy that's all Welker got. Good deal for Denver. And he'll be amped up for that game at Gillette this season.
Guys, guys, guys. Reche Caldwell doubled his yardage production with Tom Brady, in a bad year. Welker now has Peyton, which is good. But who else was seriously bidding on Welker?
If we take austin bess has to go. And I would trade him so the pats* wouldn't pick him up. Man, they are going to regret letting wes walk.
Only a 2 year deal. I just can't believe the Pats did not try harder to keep him. THe guy is simply a great player. Killer with Manning and the other WR's ... Denver is going to be very, very tough to beat.
No, he felt disrespected by the Patriots unwillingness to pay him. And so he went and signed a contract with Brady's biggest generational rival in Peyton Manning. Pure spite.
Thats pretty much what I thought he was going to get 5-7M per for 2-3 years..... And thats why Brady restructured too, to sign all these guys, he has got to be pissed.....He LOVED Welker...
As he should have.....Welker has been getting sh$tted on now for the better part of 2 years by that team... Finally somebody told them to screw....
I also think both sides were butthurt going back to how things were handled to the start of last season. Don't forget that Bellichek froze Welker out a few games in terms of targets, etc. This may have been a cold war that had been brewing on both sides. Still, always nice to see a division rival get weaker.
Tom E. Curran @tomecurran Spoke to someone close to Tom Brady. Beyond enraged at contract details that netted Broncos Wes Welker. "Disgrace" "disservice" were used. SC_DougFarrar @SC_DougFarrar As the Iron Sheik would say, "Good night and go ^&%$ yourself" RT @AlbertBreer: Patriots' final offer for Wes Welker was $10M over 2 years
