Always figured they would want him, just didn't know if they had the cap to make it work.

They seem pretty set on Martin playing left tackle.

IF....they really replaced and traded Satele due to one false start, I'm even more happy that Parcells is gone.

That's a very good question. I'm not sure but I think they're in good shape.

That would be a great signing for them.

dont be so sure my brother...Welker is their go to in a must have situation.....do not downplay that loss...

Again it isnt what it means as far as IF Welker puts up numbers with a different team...but rather what he means to that team and that system.....he is perfect for that system...not many players out there that can do what he does for that system...

His numbers elswhere will take a hit..

Prediction for the rest of free agency:

    1. Dolphins seal the deal with Dustin Keller by giving him a J-Spa style happy ending.

    2. Jackie Long barges into the negotiations room in St. Louis, grabs Jake by the ear and drags him out while muttering unintelligible cuban spanish at speeds that would give the micro machines guy seizures. Jake finds himself signing a deal back in Miami at a home town discount before he realizes what just happened.

    3. On his way into the office, Jeff Ireland trips over Sean Smith, who is sleeping in a cardboard box and ranting about robots. Jeff gives him soup, and a contract.

I'm told that the Dolphins REALLY liked Martellus Bennett but "didn't bother" because they "knew" it was a foregone conclusion.

Now this part is probably "smoke up my ***" but I am told that they mocked Free Agency and that they nailed it pretty good.

Jeff Ireland is playing Chess folks......The man grew a brain as soon as the Fat Man got the hell out of here.

I think both bits stand as possibly blowing smoke up your ***. Bennett signed for 4 years, $20 million in Chicago. If the Dolphins add a million a year to that offer, suddenly his 2nd favorite animal behind dinosaurs is the dolphin not the bear.

I think everyone was of a mindset that the top two free agent tight ends available were Martellus Bennett and Jared Cook. They didn't get one of those and they stand in danger of a perception that they're "settling" for Dustin Keller. Perhaps they'd prefer people to think they couldn't make a play on Bennett because he'd have never chosen us?

well, if this bit shows up as a side story when we do sign Keller, then you know that they probably blew it.

I don't blame them, they wanted Wallace and took no chances. They also were in stealth mode to steal Ellerbe.

BTW..I am told about 50 pieces of innuendo a day...I choose the most believable ones. LOL.

I tend to agree with this one, namely because I really liked Martellus Bennett, and would like to think that they thought the same way.
