Well that's usually the case. But exceptional cases sometimes come along. This is one of those times since, you know, you're you and, you know, sort of a douche.

If Thomas keeps getting bid up I might switch back to Reinhart. I honestly thought Reinhart (who I think is better) would be getting more serious bids. He was a comp pick FA last year.

If he's not going to get in the range of comp pick..I'd gladly take him back ;p

The Texans are pleased to announce the addition of LT Bryant McKinney for $1M. We feel he was a steal at that price as he was outstanding in the playoffs for the Super Bowl champs.

The Texans are also pleased to announce the signing of Brandon Stokley for the veteran minimum. He has been one of Manning's favorite targets and will be a nice #3 or #4 for us.

BLEACHER REPORT: Vkings Quiet As Free Agency Opens

By Some Random Internet Guy From Minnesota

    Obligatory Bleacher Report Slideshow

Silly season is officially upon us. Guards are getting north of 11 million dollars a year. Speedster Wide Receivers are approaching 15 million dollars a year. Yeremiah Bell cashed in again.

The Minnesota Vikings have not been one of these teams spending big early in Free Agency, instead looking to fill out their roster through the addition of moderately priced veterans. This approach was perhaps not unexpected, thanks to the new rules stating that you must sign all draft picks before drafting them. Because that makes some sort of sense to the commissioners of this league. It certainly doesn't make any sense to this writer. How can you sign players before drafting them? Am I supposed to go all Tom Cruise in Minority Report and go ask the Precogs? But I digress ...

League stupidity aside, Minnesota did make one move that I really liked, signing Max Starks to a 1 year deal worth $480,000. This is 3333.333% cheaper than former right tackle Phil "Take the Money and Run to Buffalo" Loadholt. Buffalo was a bunch of idiots to pay 16 mil for a RT, but hey, no one ever accused the Buffalo GM of being smart. Also, it's a great deal when you look at it by the pound. Starks is listed at 345 pounds, which means my Vikings only paid $1,391.30 per pound. Clearly a steal. I'm not saying Starks is better than Loadholt, but he's a lot less expensive and we shouldn't miss a beat with him in the lineup.

Looking forward to what Minnesota does the rest of the way in Free Agency.

Give me crap about my dime safety in Bell and then toot your horn over PFF's #71 tackle Max Starks. Hope you like Joe Webb cause your going to get Ponder killed. 5 sacks, 8 hits and 40 pressures.

"Here lays QB Christian Ponder. Death by blind OT. Mediocre career ended before his time. All because the gods couldn't put a damn non exclusive franchise tag on Loadholt."

Your obsession with Pro Football Focus is pretty sad man. It's a good site, but certainly not the end all be all when it comes to player evaluation.

But I'll play along. Starks played at LT last year. This means that he was going up against the other team's best pass rusher every week. Overall he played pretty decently but struggled in a few games with speed rushers (sound like any other LT's we know?). That's why he'll be moving to RT where he can replace Loadholt at a fraction of the cost.

What's more is that he's played LT before, so if for some reason Kalil gets injured I have a guy who can swing over to the left side if needed. But that's not the plan. The plan is for him to play RT, so I think I'll be okay. But nice try at trolling though. The gravestone was a nice touch.
