As for Byrd, a mid-to-late first rounder and the last first round pick is very little to give up for a guy who is arguably the best Free Safety in the game. Good luck finding a player to replace him in either the draft or free agency. You learn a lot about people playing this league. Unfortunately sometimes what you learn isn't all that pleasant.

So putting in a huge offer to deter such sounds like a smart idea considering there are teams still with $30-40 million in cap room. So basically what I am to learn from this is that I'm the douche because I played this game well within the rules and capitalized on your poor mistakes. Jesus Matt Flynn's been passed around more then Vengeful's butt hole. Now Teflon...usually I'd get involved in a move like that..........but how can I be seen to only target Vengeful if I bid on Flynn like that.

He was undersized for an every down DE in the 4-3. But I expect Junyah to be starting OLB in my and the real saints new 3-4 defense. His new real life contract is rumored to be 3yr/12mil. After he signed that I intended to up his tender to 2nd round comp since I figured he had increased exposure but I was too late. I gambled on 600k and lost 1mil. But I wouldn't have been able to afford matching 5mil or probably even 4mil had he been offered it.
