Eh, the only thing that worries me about this move is there is 1 less Wr on the market

Proven Wr, we don't want to be left walking around the chairs when the music stops

So, you think the 49ers are going to get more than 2 years out of Boldin?

By that rationale though, 30 other teams didn't think he was worth it either.

Obviously we don't know either way. We know Minnesota offered a 7th. A team that just picked up a 1, 3 and 7 for Percy Harvin.....a team whose WR corps has a career 29 NFL receptions.....only offered a 7.

The reason a 6 got it done was because it was common knowledge that Boldin would be cut otherwise. So Ozzy wasn't dealing from a position of strength. And he apparently did Boldin a solid in dealing him to a contender.

Naturally the Dolphins don't have a 6th round pick. But what is the narrative after Jeff Ireland trades a 5th round pick for a player -- with 1 year and $6 million left on his deal, and whom his GM said would be cut otherwise?

A 6th rd pick is nothing for even one year outta Boldin imo. The 9'ers scored on this deal. We would have had to cut Bess most likely but I would have loved to see Wallace, Boldin and Hartline!! I see Bess gone via trade in the near future any how. That would have been a good bunch of WR's for sure

Wow...like Kaepernick needs another weapon. If the 49ers stay healthy they have a chance to go down as one of the greatest teams all-time when all is said and done. Outside of kicker is there position Miami matches up favorably with the 49ers?

Wonder what the 49ers will do with the rest of their 14 draft picks? Only a 6th rounder, phenomenal trade for the 49ers.

And the Ravens were smart to get at least something for Boldin since it sounded like they were going to outright release him tomorrow.

You really think they would have traded him in the same conference for a 6th? Then the question becomes, are you willing to give up a 5th or maybe even a 4th for a one year rental of Boldin? Considering you seem ok with trading the 12th overall for an injured Harvin, maybe so.

I believe it was part of the trade up last year for the pick used on Miller.
