I'm interested to see where the Russel Allen bidding goes. I was able to move him in a package for Ladarius Webb but couldn't get 4th for him individally when he was less than $2 mil. I suppose needs and market values change, which is what makes this league fun.
Had no idea he was on the market. I would have gave up a 4th and 6th for him. I assume if he isn't on the block you're keeping the player.
He was on the block at one time, not one person inquired iirc. Had some conversations about him, but nothing really too serious. Either way, I think he's a solid LB and this shows how few quality LBs there are out there.
Nature of the beast, when a guy isn't going to cost anything other then bidding on salary then it's easier to go after him.
Thanks, but I wouldn't say I was that interesting. Maybe some as my life has been one big adventure after another. If you want I cane make it a very long and interesting free agency for you... did I mention long.
True, I completely understand that. It seems like there's a psychological factor to it: Save $2 million and burn a 4th, or spend a little extra but keep the pick. Like I said, just interesting to see the dynamic and how different GMs value things at different times. Last year, I gave up a 2nd for Kelvin Shepard (he had a great rookie year but dropped off this season) late in the year because it was a huge position of need. In the beginning of the year, there would've been no way I gave up a 2nd for him. Picks and cap space are valued very differently at different points in the year.
I'll have to ask Griddles, but we had planned to. In the NFL, when you remove a tender or tag, the player immediately becomes a FA.
Well, I should rephrase, not immediately, unless the new year has started, but the way we play, it'd be when FA starts because tags finalize before then. You also cannot tag a different player, so you'd have to be smart and not screw around just to be a pain. Tenders are tenders, and you don't have a set amount, otherwise the same rules apply.
I don't know if anybody here got the flu strain with the bad vomiting and diarrhea but holy hell.... Me and my daughter just went through it.
They scared bro. 3x (did I say 3x, 3x, 3x) Free agency winner the last 3 years. Yeah, they scurred and they should be.
no flu for me... i got the shot this year, first time ever too... i figured if the Bandit is getting the flu and going to the hospital, I'm not getting it!! oh yeah... feel better
I would if A, I wasn't a mod, and B, free agency didn't start the week of a tax deadline (corporations).
Nah don't worry about it if you're on your phone... I can't imagine trying to update that stuff on a phone.
