Dude, right now my starting line (provided that I win my bid) is Oher, Incognito, Armano, Lang, and a RT TBD. I'm shaping up pretty good right now.
The Broncos would like to welcome DE, Tyson Jackson for $7,000,000. He is the perfect 3-4 DE we needed to compliment pass-rushing Carlos Dunlap. He really turned it on this year and have huge hopes for him to build on his progress as the 3rd overall draft pick. And, it's a bonus that he has the same birthday as me.
I have Monroe LT, Eric Wood C, Urbik RG. If it weren't for GIK I would have had Wade Smith LOL. I got roughly $13 million to get into the RT market. So that leaves LG...which I will wait and drop a 3rd/4th there.
The Texans are happy to announce we have come to terms with Matt Bosher. He played kicker AND punter at the University of Miami and was very good in both spots. We feel he can play both positions for us as well successfully.
Seattle would like to welcome Kevin Walter for 480K. Cant ever have enough receivers and to get another quality depth guy on the cheap is great. Walter says he wanted more money but he will take what he can get.
Or how I see it. Seattle asking for all injury riddled guys to come play for us. Going to need 10 of you guys because I know 5 of you will get injured.
and getting pierce at 3.5mil or whatever, a young rb, I don't see the downside considering what he would've commanded in trade. yeah, I'll take that.
if I did it every year like someone we know...sure. but referencing half a decade ago makes you look...
The Tennessee Titans would like to welcome Bernard Pollard, SS, for $6,750,000. He is a much needed upgrade to our secondary, and paired with another former raven DB Dawan Landry, should make for a fierce pair in the secondary. Pollard's ability to lay the wood will be a nice addition to a team that struggled in run support, and in secondary play.
Heh now that folks know that 3rd and 4th tier OL are going for $4 million+ and that means 1st/2nd tier will go for $10 million easily. I am going to put up Kraig Urbik (RG) on the market. See if I can't capitalize ;p
P Mike Scrifes is listed as a signed player and a player with a bid. Edit: NM saw he was cut. So we can cut 500k and under? Don't know why I thought it had to be under 500k
The Bills are quietly putting together a hell of a TE depth chart as they announce the signing of Matt Spaeth for $850k. Matt Spaeth is PFF's #7 overall TE and #1 Run Blocking TE. He joins and compliments TE's Brent Celek and Scott Chandler.
Yah I'm not sure why he's doing it. Not like he needs the cap space. At least it's not a steep drop. Going from #5 punter to #12 by PFF standards.
Bears would like to welcome veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck ($530,000.00) to the roster. After many failed attempts to get Jay Cutler a competent back up, they finally found their man. A proven starter and great leader, Bears were estatic to get Hasselbeck for so cheap. Bears would also like to welcome back some players at a lower rate. Long snapper Patrick Mannelly, Tight end Kellen Davis, and MLB Dom DeCicco
How come we dont do blind bidding... like you have 10 bids per 24 or 48 hours. After that period, the FA goes to the highest bidder. And it continues on down the line. Then you're forced to make an offer instead of pulling jewish accountant (not you paul, we all know youre a satanic ethnic cross breed) bidding.
The Texans are pleased to welcome back one of the best 3-4 ends in the NFL in Antonio Smith. Getting him back at $3.8M less than his original deal will give us the cap flexability to fill some of our holes.
