the one that really concerns me is Steinbach, I took one look at that dude and knew he was washed up, knew his body was toast and broken down, knew he was completely out of shape, and knew that he hadn't really been the type of player that took care of his body to begin with..unless that was a charity stroke from Philbin, who knew him from his iota days, call me worried about his standards when he evaluates an Olineman..

A scouting intern could of projected Pouncey..

Would of never drafted Jerry in the condition he was in when entering the draft..There's talent there and I hope that kid pulls thru and listens to his position coach who was completely inspiring, but where is the standard?

We don't use "rds #1-#3" oh my no, we use high #1 picks, the guys we take in the later rds never play, and the ones that do play, ie Jerry, don't play very well.

This is one of the issue with that merde' about "rds 1-3" completely made up standard.

And they also sign FA's, who you know, can actually play, for when their high draft picks don't pan out.

Something the wizards in Davie seem to have a problem with accomplishing.

And keeping with the compounding errors theme consider:

-traded Vontae Davis, and could lose Smith in FA, now we face the possibility of..wait for it..drafting a Cb at #12 to replace the two we lost

-The dogged determination to "recoupe the 2nd rd pick they gave up for Marshall" meant..wait for it...they once again run away from top talent, take a mediocre DE, and with the #2 pick..drafted a mediocre OLB with the pick.

And on and on it goes, either Ireland and Co are the most unlucky Staff in the league, or they are doing it wrongz.

This along with facing a real possibility that we lose most of the FA's, and the rebuild that comes along with it, and yep, not to happy at this point in time.

I would take off on the idea that drafting offensive linemen is an absolute waste of time that SOME here seem to espouse, and that all the team needs is a lot of playmakers and some big guys up front to absorb the defense - but that is so offensive (HA!) to me that I won't pursue that (Pads, playmakers have to have room to play!)

But, Where did you find a real honest to Trinity P-47 running around, with a F6F in the background, no less? I have been to numerous air shows and have seen 51s, 40s, F4Us, 17s, 24s & 25s all over the place, but I have never been close to a 47 or a F6F at one yet. Where, pray tell did you get that shot?

If Ireland blows this draft and FA class he wil be out of here. Our 2012 free agent class was a complete disaster.

If he blows this we won't be a good football team for a long time.

I kinda think the balding ginger will finally get us a playmaker or two, if nothing else for the immense amount of pressure on him to do just that.

except we are around the baseline. The data tells you that. It does not tell you all the rest of the stuff you are trying to say.
