Yea, all 3 of them can walk for all I give a ****, they're all expendable. The whole point of this offseason is to UPGRADE FROM AVERAGE PLAYERS

    UH, Repeat..........
I would even be willing to let Hartline go if we can find a younger, faster, play maker.
Maybe I should have added...............IF we have to keep one of the three..................
I am ok with keeping Hartline on a short term deal to see if he can improve with the other new blood that is brought in. He is the youngest of the 3 and with some help, he MIGHT step up.

As someone else has stated, I just dont want to go with the same guys. We need upgrades. Miller was hitting holes this past year like Bush used to. Fasano has never been more than a journeyman type. I like him but we can do better.

  4. What I was asking was why you were OK with keeping Hartline but not the others. I just wanted you to clarify it for me, which you did now, ty.

I personaly have no problem with resigning any of the 3 or even all 3 of them to propperly priced contracts. Resigning them does not mean you cant also add more pieces to improve the offense. I have no problem with letting them walk either if you have upgrades. I think having them resigned offers you flexability and does not force the team to reach in the draft or FA.

While Fasano might not be a great TE he is a servicable one and without him on the roster it forces them to possibly draft a TE before a WR because without having at least him it creates a huge hole of need.

So before Fa starts or the draft comes about, we are condemning the team already ?? All that based on agent and team leaked info into the media ? This type of info is bantered about this time every year about every team...lets see what they actually do before we rehire the Fireland airplane... No matter what they do, we (as fans) can't change it, but we can wait a little to see what is really going to happen before we jump off the bandwagons...

Fasano is staying, If they cant come to a agreement he will get the franchise tag. The 2013 franchise tag for tight ends is tentatively set for $5.962 million. Fasano's cap hit for 2012 was 4,375,000. The man has great hands PFF grades him as having zero drops. He is staying, he is only 28 years old and i strongly suspect his numbers will go up not down. If we get Wallace that will open up the middle of the field, Wallace makes the defense play deep which makes it easier for everyone else.

I would love to see us lock him up for a couple of years but if he is smart he will only sign a one year deal.

Fasano isnt flashy but he does what he is asked. He is the one constant i think we need to keep for Tannehill. I suspect we draft a pass catching TE that Fasano can mentor.

I see zero chance that Fasano gets franchised. Miami wants to sign him for less than he made last year so I'm not sure why they would give him a $1.5 million raise. He's an average starter at TE; paying him the average of the top five players at the position would be a clear overpay.

I can foresee the need to use the tag elsewhere before Fasano, but Rilo made some very good points for retaining Fasano. He's probably gets the most undeserved criticism of anyone on this team. True, he's not Jimmy Graham or Anthony Gonzalez, but he basically gets the job done. While his receiving prowess is not his strength, some of the blame of his low numbers has to go to rest of the offense....

Fasano has no shot at being franchised.
