Slow feet, chunky…. 21 reps (weak)… not a good combo IMO… not wonder he was getting his lunch handed to him most of the year.
No need for silly measurements, I shall eyeball any *** you like, anything for you my friend, with pleasure.
31 3/4 arms. 9 hands. Nothing special. I thought they looked longer and bigger on TV (during the All Star Challenge).
Some really athletic OLs in this class man. Not just the sub-5's but guys that are running right around 5.0 are pretty impressive as well.
And so far Terron Armstead's got my vote for Combine MVP. He's 6'5" and 306 lbs with 34 inch arms, ran a 4.65 and bench pressed 31 reps. That's incredible. Never seen an OL do better. Bruce Campbell comes close. He had 34 bench reps at 6'7" and 314 lbs...but a 4.75 versus a 4.65.
Warmack 5.55 Watson 5.25 Good thing Warmack is such a force at the LOS, Watson underwhelmed running the 40, bummer.
Disappointing 40 times for guys like Chance Warmack (5.55) and Larry Warford (5.53). Really emphasizes that they are John Moffitt type phone booth players.
Watson's 40 run showed what is one of the fer concerns of his that I have- he looks like he runs/kickslides flat footed. He gets the job done, but I'd like to see him more on his toes. Disappointing run, in the time and how he looked running.
Hah actually I thought he could've done better. And I'd have swore his 2nd run was actually better. The 1.61 on the 10 yard split on his 2nd run, if that's accurate (which is usually a big IF)...that's damn impressive. Faster than Terron Armstead's 1.64. EDIT: The 1.61 if it holds would be better than WR Ramses Barden's 10 yard split.
I just think that Warmack is unusually advanced at the college level but that in a few years you'll have guys drafted in the mid rounds that are playing with as sound technique and solid strength as him. I wouldn't even consider drafting him at 12 overall.
I thought the same, apart from the time being slower than I imagined, he didn't look good running it either for a guy that's meant to be an athlete. Still like his film, but he's not helped himself too much with his running so far. Be interesting to watch his second 40 and see if there's any improvement.
Yeah that was impressive with Schwenke. I'm not sure if I'm buying all this Travis Frederick stuff as I've yet to really dig into him but Schwenke reminds me a lot of Nick Mangold and I think he could be as good.
Did they skip over Watson's 2nd run? Warmack is one heck of a player and is awesome at his prime directives, but that was one of the worst 40s I've seen, he looked very awkward imo. Warford was awful as well, Lane Johnson looked very athletic.
