after watching Anquan Boldin in the super bowl it is a shame we didnt sign him when we had a chance to and we had 3 chances to snatch him up. I saw somewhere that Miami has not had a wr score 3 touchdowns in one game since Dan Marino tossed three to Lamar Thomas in the Denver game back in 98 or 99 man its no wonder Miami hasnt sniffed the super bowl . does anyone know for sure we have had a wr catch three or more touchdowns ? i have to say that the last 6 playoffs Miami went to it was the passing game and defense that hurt us . would anyone care to give me some more insight as to why Miami has had such a lacking passing game from the Jay Feidler erra forward? i had a book on some of our great games , players and ex..... but i lost all my dolphin memorbilia in the house fire a while back . It was a 2000 media guide and there was some good stuff in it. I know some of you are looking for substance in this thread but all I can bring to the table is my passion .
The best wr we've had since Marino left was...wait for it...Chris chambers. Chambers once scored EDIT: 11 tds in a season and that was pretty big. Especially now considering our 3-way tie at 1 a piece (hartline, bess,Moore) 3 in a game though? No, can't say I've seen it. To be fair, we've had some awful OCs, bad qb play, and mediocre talent for years. Tannehill is hopefully the answer to one of those questions. I dont hate shermans play calling...yet, but we need to see more. Talent is dreadful there though.
Chris Chambers in a thanksgiving game a few years back had 3 TDs. Edit: I also think his career high was 11 in a season. I can't check these stats right now though.
I'm cool with Sherman if he builds on his play calling coming down to the end of the year. It looked as if he started calling within the talent we had rather than just going based on what would schematically give an advantage. One play that comes to mind is that Jorvorskie Lane TD reception. That was just great play design and situation management. Here it is: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000111708/Jorvorskie-Lane-TD-catch
What concerns me is that I was just reading on NFL.com and we have the 8th hardest schedule for next year. Broncos have the EASIEST...wtf! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...thers-have-toughest-2013-strength-of-schedule
I never worry about that, from 2006-2007 people probably saw the 1-15 dolphins on their schedule and circled that in red pen as a win. We won 11 games. There is so much parody in the nfl, and we are getting better. That means little.
I actually welcome a tough schedule. I don't want to be like the 2008 Dolphins or 2012 Colts. I want us to go in and beat good teams. It was pretty cool that we beat two teams that finished over .500. The last time we had beaten one was 2010 and prior to that 2008.
I don't care if we play the royal palm beach wildcats and the pahokee blue devils (although they would probably beat miami)....as long as we go to the ****ing playoffs. The Patriots have a cake ****ing schedule every year it seems. If you have a good team, you have a good team regardless.
Bounce grapes off your pecks like the Rock does. Hypmotizes them into submission and they remember nothing the next day
"would anyone care to give me some more insight as to why Miami has had such a lacking passing game from the Jay Feidler erra forward?" because each and every Qb, including Fielder sucked.
my date went well she is a dolphin fan and wow, she gave me a strong opinion of Cam Cameron i think i may have to marry her.
When he has three great player acquisitions in one season we will probably start to see three TD games from a player.
when we played in that thanksgiving game i think that was the year a local sports caster dissed miami and said " and dallas lost ." i wanted bust that guy in the nutts for saying that.
Much like the Broncos, and I could be wrong, a lot of the strength of schedule is dependent on the division the team is in. In case of the Broncos; Chiefs (first overall pick), Oakland (3rd overall pick), and the Chargers (11th overall pick) In case of the Patriots; Bills (eighth overall), Jets (ninth overall), and the Dolphins (12th overall) So yeah, that might have something to do with it I think.
now that same-sex marriages are legal in some states, ross & irish making it official, then ross croaks, thus leaving mr. 4s 5s & 6s the franchise concerns me.... you asked.
I'm worried DJ's "girlfriend" starts posting on the forum with things like, "don't forget to pick up my tampons and vagisil before you come home, Deejy-kins..." Sent from my crap phone in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii... Mahalo *****es!
