Dan the Man is a known womanizer. This dude is probably banging 20 different women per month. As long as his wife accepts it or tacitly approves, who the hell cares what he does? I'm sure he has afforded her a life people can only dream of..
If I were a woman, I'd gladly have Marino's love child. And (if a boy) raise him for the sole purpose of becoming a Miami Dolphin QB.
Mods can we delete this thread please. It's really no one's business but the Marino's and Mrs Younis the child's mother. Not everything reported in the media is worth repeating.
there's nothing wrong with the thread. It pertains to a former Dolphins legend and he's a public figure.
Bro, this cannot shock you. This type of stuff is all the media covers. It's all the public pays attention to. Any legitimate and important news isn't covered because the avg. Joe public could care less. My God just turn on a tv during political elections. The media covers nothing important and everything of "shock value". In addition anyone surprised by this have their head in the sand. Athletes, celebrities, entertainers, etc. are involved in "questionable" behavior in mass numbers. It's all a perk of having ungodly amounts of money and being a celebrity.
He's another one of many former and current professional athletes who have children outside of marriage. At least he knows all their names. And has spent time with her over the years.
And here's why: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimal_distinctiveness_theory When people are too distinct from the rest of us, based on their celebrity stature, we have to "bring them back down to earth" with stories about their shortcomings. Usually a simple divorce does the trick, since about 50% of the population gets one.
That's my daughter's name. Wait a minute...where was Dan Marino in late spring of last year...? To me, the worst part about this story is the mother becoming a socialite on the kid's dime. Use that money to take care of your child, not run around in the Hamptons with Stern and Diddy. Furthermore, Claire Marino might need to be nominated for sainthood. Between the special needs kid, adopting kids, dealing with Dan's career, short temper and now infidelity? That's a good woman.
Kind of interesting how she got him for millions, agreed to clear out to Texas, then took some of her hush money and bolted back to the West side and the Hamptons. I bet Marino was thrilled about that. Having a kid is one thing, but at first glance she seems to be quite the opportunist. No one needs millions to raise a child, and it looks like she took old Danny boy for a ride and jacked up her lifestyle through the roof.
It's just intrusive into the private business of someone else. No need to always bring up the salacious things public figures do. He reports NFL stuff, who cares who he was banging. It's like Princess Di.....she's dead because reporters were chasing her - for what ? Because she was the ex-wife of a future King ?
yeah. And we know how to have sex too, but paul should probably go over it so we can make fun of him some more..........
No I am not shocked - not in the least. I have met quite a few present & former athletes due to my eldest step-daughter being married to a former minor league baseball player (who is now a college asst. coach). Several of them I have gotten to know well enough to know of rather intimate details of their life (by accident). What was reported about Mr. Marino is relatively minor compared to some of the stories I've heard and witnessed in person. One of them is probably going to be a HoF player one day, and he's a huge star in the game today. So absolutely this doesn't shock me. I am just hoping this story dies soon.
I hope the woman looked better than the one Schwarzenegger hooked up with on the side . Sounds like a lapse in judgment that Dan confessed to his family and took full responsibility for.
For some reason her actions in this regard made me think of one of the classic movie lines, from the movie As Good As It Gets. Receptionist: How do you write women so well? Melvin (Jack Nicholson):..... (It's better to hear him say it)
