I'd love to, but I'll probably use a different video... any suggestions?

I actually have the video, I went out and bought it over a year ago because of the parodies as the acting looks amazing. However, I just haven't had time to watch it yet. You have to be in a special mood to watch a movie with subtitles.

I think one has to focus more when it is foreign language w/subtitles. I am glad they did it that way though rather than dubbing in English voices.
Hopefully you'll have the mood to watch it soon. When I did, I was sorry I waited so long. Same as Schindler's List.

The movie does not work if the actors aren't speaking German.

Word is his scientists experimented on the disabled prior to 1941, and tested the methods they would use on the Jews. While no exact records will likely be found, it is believed the third reich executed approximately 400,000 individuals with disabilities.

I was teaching a class on human rights recently and I talked about the Holocaust. An American citizen who had moved from Russia talked to me at a break and asked my why Americans do not talk about all the Russians killed by the Nazis, and seemed pre-occupied by the Holocaust. However, as some of you have pointed out, Stalin killed an untold amount of his own citizens, thousands of Polish officers, and indeed inflicted terrible causalties on the Germans.

I can still laugh at these clips (if they're done well (Paul, not too bad)), but I agree with you, seeing the entire movie really changes your perception. Such a depressing, yet great movie. Maybe depressing isn't a great way to describe it, since it's about Hitler getting his just desserts, but you get the idea.

For those of you that haven't seen it, the actor also plays the dude in the movie "Unknown" that helps out Liam Neeson's character. When I saw his character in that movie, it drove me nuts trying to remember what movie I had seen him in. Without the Hitler stache it was hard.

Same reason we don't as often talk about all the Filipinos tortured and killed by the Japs. Or the number of Manchurians. Neither of them or the Russians have even 1% of the media control and influence in this country as the group who were the primary victims of the Holocaust.

Exactly. Napoleon proved it could not be done. Russia is too huge and the Nazi supply lines were stretched too thin.

Downfall was/is a great film and well worth checking out if you haven't already. I don't think it really detracts from using this clip as a base for humour though.
