I am not too sure how i would go about this but there are three things I would do. #1 clean the front office including the marketing , sales and scoutiing departments. #2 FIRE you know who . #3 I would press to move the dolphins into the afc south ecconomic reasons . #4 market my team on tv and radio and bring in some serious capital. #5 introduce a new ring of honor and build a courtyard and name it the Zach Thomas courtyard. #6 buy a peice of land in minnesota and make the team practice there especially after a embassing loss . ( cold weather motivation may do wonders for players lousy attitude. )
1 Have Nike make our uniforms as kick *** as Oregons 2 Move the team to LA and play in the Rose Bowl till my stadium was finished
#4 Why would you market a New York team? You a jets fan? You think that only a new york team could succeed in the Miami market?
What is the obsession people have with moving this team to LA? I don't get it. LA fans don't attend sporting events outside of the Lakers, they have awful attendance.
Well don't want to sound like a clueless owner, but I would find some method of having suggestions from fans on a monthly basis, whether it be on a forum or a conference call with fans. I know there have been some calls with season ticket holders this year, but I don't want the sole purpose of it to be answer questions of what the organization plans to do. Let every fans voice be heard and there suggestion noted. If I was the owner this year I would fire Ireland from all the anger towards that guy for example.
A lot of secret Jet fans on Dolphin forums. We have used undercovers to infiltrate and expose of them. Unfortunately we cant catch them all. We all must remain vigilant.
what would you do if you bought the dolphins ? I'd cry tears of joy, start revamping the owners box, and leave the football work to other people. I'd promote continuity and at least give the current regime time to prove themselves before I did any maneuvers. My focus would be on the brand, the stadium, and MOST importantly.... the Fans.
beat me to it. alternative would be to just delete any stupid threads started by certain individuals, or better yet, just never allow them to start threads. serious aquafin, the thread had potential, but not a single one of your answers make any sense whatsoever.
Definitely need a mechanical dolphin that dives into water when we score touchdowns, priority # 1. Also, the legendary draftniks that post here would get jobs in the personnel dept.
Move the seats farther away from the field. Install heaters for games under 70 degrees Keep Ireland Bring back Brandon Marshall Trade for Sanchez Buy a bunch of popcorn and visit Dolphins fans sites all day long.....
Probably find a new company to run the stadium, I've read some rather poor things about the actual experience at the stadium.
Concessions aside, there is no third party company that runs the stadium. The Dolphins operate the stadium.
It's mostly the attitude of the staff at the concession stands that I've heard poor things about, they can do better.
1. Move the team back to the AFC East, Rivalry is to important to me. 2. Move the team back to Miami. where they belong
As a San Diegan, I am opposed to this. Dolphins belong in Miami. But if it happens, season tickets baby
I've never once had a problem with the staff at the concession stands. As a matter of fact, they're really nice most of the time. The problem is the ushers for each row.
We do need a new stadium. Problem is the Marlins screwed Miami out of a ton of money to build their park. I doubt it happens any time soon which is a god damn shame.
Guess you have never been to a game in the coliseum then eh ? It sucks, completely sucks. Fans got sick of sitting , at closest in places, 50 yards from the football field. No boxes. Football was played in Anaheim for a short time but that stadium never developed either. Los Angeles county has about 12 million people with 4 million in imediate LA. They build a decent stadium its going to be packed. It would be no different then the Meadowlands. Build it and they will come. If the vagabond Jets can move out of the **** hole called Shea Stadium and pack the meadowlands, my new Pacific Dolphins team will pack any stadium they build. No team is going to the Super Bowl year after year. The conditions in S. Florida are putrid. Half the grease monky Jets fans have moved their sleazy carcass to Florida because they got sick of paying 20 grand in property taxes each year for a dump of a house. Same goes for the fans of half the teams on the east coast. S. Florida, all of Florida for that matter is never going to fill a stadium on a regular basis, those days are gone. I was born and raised on the East Coast. Florida was my dream place to live. Had that dream for 40 years. Then moved to the West coast , a place I hated all my life even though I had never been there and know what ? You can take the people out and blow up the entire south part of Florida for all I care now. In no way shape or form is it even close to Southern California and the way S Florida has changed in the last 30 years ? LOL, please, its a dump.
I agree, people at the concession stands are great. Of course they are not Harvard graduates but never had one give me an attitude or be rude.
Not doubtin someone said they had a bad experience but for me personally, never had one yet. You know as well as I do someone is always going to piss and moan about something LOL. I have zero problem with the stadium other then I wish it was the same as University of Phoenix stadium type in our Septl games. To be honest, this season, 2012, there were no ****ty hot humid games in Septl Not one.
yeah, ummm..... but you realize this team is the MIAMI Dolphins right?... emphasis on the MIAMI part. Do you think all the local Chargers, Raiders, and Niners fans currently residing in LA will suddenly drop their allegiances just b/c some east coast team moves in?
Ive brought it up a couple of times, mostly in jest but not because I live in So Cal. It just strikes me as the kind of thing Ross would do. He is all about glitz and glamour and buzz. A move to L.A. would generate all three.
Not only that, but LA had two teams—the Raiders and the Rams—and that didn't quite work out for them. I'm in favor of moving a team to LA, but the Dolphins don't make sense. Just looking at divisional breakdowns, geography, stadium statuses, the team that makes the most sense to move to LA is the Chargers. Ross is about increasing attendance and offsetting his risk.
At the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars. Can we please stop mischaracterizing Ross now? He wants to be on ESPN, not E!.
