Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

Probably has something to do with the way FinD kept the old Dolphin and it's pose.

every time i see the logo I dont see a whale, or a jet, or a flying turd... I see a Dolphin, but hey, thats just me. People should really listen to this podcast about change in logos. Pretty much sums it up!

Sorry man, but I'm in the "no" column as well. I just rarely like letters or words in the logo.

 

All good. I'm just playing around.

 

So, what I get from this is keep being negative and change will happen. Also, it's good news that the Dolphins own all their past logos.

 

What about shrinking the letter 'M' and centering the dolphin over it? If not that, I'd look at losing the dolphin entirely and just having the sun and letter.

Dolphins actually contacted me about using my avatar as team logo. Money wasn't right though. #****youpayme

 

I don't know what that is, but it CANNOT be a dolphin. I mean... It can't be, there is no coral color ANYWHERE. Can you see that being a dolphin. And the blue... OMG That isn't a pea green type of aqua so... you KNOW It Means... Well.... That just means it JUST CANNOT be a dolphin, I don't care what anyone says.

Maybe it's some form of beached tuna disguised as a dolphin... you know... Take out the FUPA and put on a fake dolphin nose.. change the direction of the way the tail goes...

I'd like to see what it looks like with a grey facemask. Muck had hinted about the uniforms being somewhat "retro", just curious if they might go back to a grey facemask.

How about a Dolphin jumping betwee th V in the M towards the viewer face on....perhaps with a determined look.

Personally I think this is pretty blah. It looks like s*** to be honest.
They're using a lifelike shaped dolphin but give it significantly un-lifelike navy blue fins and a funny looking white stripe from nose to tail. It's too distracting. Plus it's not even our shade of aqua, and the jagged navy blue color draws enough of the eye's focus to make you wonder what the hell our team colors actually are. What happened to good ole aqua and orange?! Yeah, I'll be wearing my retro Csonka & Marino jerseys till the threads fall out. lol

 

The worst part is it is disproportionate. The tail and fins are far too large for the Dolphins body. If this is our new logo that will bother me to no end.

 

yeah, it's pretty horrible. I don't see how this could be labeled as anything close to "keeping it partly traditional". I'd like to be able to complain in advance just in case this crap is what they decided to run with. lol

 

If you don't love these jerseys you might not be a Dolphins fan.

No kidding. After 15 years of uniform tinkering and a logo change why the hell can we not go back to something traditional looking for a damn change?

 

It's reportedly the one that's been leaked.

 

If Miami follows up the new logo with a Super Bowl victory like the Buccaneers did soon after or the two the Broncos had soon after I will love the new logo no matter what it looks like. Hell, it has been so long since Miami has even been to the Super Bowl I would be pleased with the new logo if we just got the Super Bowl like the Bengals did soon after their logo change.

 

Look at the current logo, the tail & fins are of the same proportion ! Definitely agree on those throwbacks, especially the 3rd ( all white ) one.

 

I would love those jerseys with the logo in my sig!!!
