I think Ireland tanked this season with hopes of a better tomorrow. The Dolphins paid the majority of Marshall's salary this year. So far, they have have Egnew to show for it.

 

i dont know where you got that from. of course i don't think that, what i do feel is that he thinks he's smarter than he actually is, i think he's extremely stubborn, i think he's a snake that threw Sparano under the bus to save his own ***, but ultimately none of that stuff would even matter if he was good at his damn job, which he isn't. i simply do not trust his evaluations, especially when it comes to recognizing where the roster is lacking, where the talent is lacking, he just seems so out of touch with how to build a winner in this era of football.

but fortunately for Jeffy we have a clueless owner that refuses to lose faith in him, so i guess we're stuck with his ineptitude.

well if we sign a Wallace/Jennings/Bowe, then it wouldn't really surprise me if we didn't use one of those first 5 picks on a WR (though i think we SHOULD regardless of what we do in free agency). if we don't sign any of those 3, but keep Hartline, i still wouldn't be shocked, cuz who's to say Ireland wouldn't just put his faith in his draft pick Mathews to take that next step and become a starter and fill this need? if so, he might think that's enough to prevent him from having to spend a high pick on that group in the draft, just like last year when he had faith in his guys roberto wallace, and clyde gates, and marlon moore.

hey i'll give it a chance, I don't really have a choice, its not like I'm going to abandon the team...but Ireland doesn't deserve the chance to rebuild this team.

i actually wouldn't be mad if we take that route, this receiving corps needs to be completely revamped, I've said it 1000 times. although instead of Allen and Bailey I'd rather take Justin Hunter and his teammate Cordarrelle Patterson...OR Hopkins.
