Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

I saw a poll that stated that most people don't vote in polls.

 

I can pretty much guarantee that is never going to happen no matter what the new logo looks like.

Officially we probably have two listed... which would be aqua home and white away because of NFL tradition. The Cowboys home jersey is officially navy but they only wear white at home. However in reality our situation is similar to the Cowboys. White jerseys at home and whatever we are forced to wear away.

 

I find it funny that people think the one logo would be out of date soon. Any logo proposed will be out of date soon. That's how things work. Cars, music, fashion, etc.

 

The internet was in it's virginal state when the current logo was introduced. I'm sure it had a mixed reaction.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that my amount of friends weren't enough to get a gauge on things. Apparently polls on Facebook are the real determining factor here.

The fact is that people who like or don't care about the updates aren't going to go out of their way to take polls or talk about it. Clearly this is going nowhere though so I'm done discussing this.

 

LOL!! Just heard a comment that it looks like a logo you would see for some kinda airline company.

 

There was also a poll about people butts...


But i guess the over 25,000 particpants in the polls were invisible.

Makes me think that Miami is going to build a good passing attack.

 

Be done with it then. Polls are thrown all over facebook all the time and if you see 40k making responses don't you think thats a better gauge than, lets say, 1500 friends?

Agreed. Ross has shown a willingness to consider fan reaction over the last few years. Remember the 55 yard field goal promo at halftime? That got moved up pretty quickly, as did removing the Jets shirts from the team store.

So people at work got word of this today...everyone here is asking me if this is the real logo and why it would be. Multiple people have stated "I like the old logo, why would they take the helmet off the dolphin?"...I found that interesting because i don't really care for the helmet...appears people of opposing teams really like it (at least the small sample I have here at work).

 

If Ozzy's and C like this one we better pay attention, cause if they like it, we can all like the change.

 

So it must be true. Even people not associated with it hate change....

 

I would really like to see a cool M for Miami and a cool dolphin going thru the M...love the M for a symbol like the other classics..

M and a Dolphin would be cool.

 

Yeah, heh. The resonating response here is that we already have a great logo and why would we change it. I just keep telling them that this probably isn't the final logo.

 

LOL, thanks DJ! I think it is a far more of a subtle change than the supposed leaked logo. I don't hate either of them but the same one Mr. Clean was talking about is, to me, a much better and more crisp looking logo. It also does away with the helmet that many people say they cannot stand. Even though I like the helmet with the letter in it.

I think if they went with the subtle change they will get a better reaction from the start and sales will be good to begin with. Then if the team actually improves some more they might even be selling gear at a good clip...

 

I am of the go back in time group. Bring back the old logo and maybe fill in the colors a little better. But the one we've seen lately that ALMOST resembles the current/old logos is not bad. I could live with it and like it a lot faster than this leaked one....

Of course it might not be the final product. But I'm not a fan so far. Don't hate it either but I'm praying it's not true.
