Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

Yeah, having better players has nothing to do with it.

 

That dolphin looks like a frolicking, playful dolphin.

 

Even me, the oldest of the old school supporters, could live with this one.

 

The panthers updated logo is pretty sweet. Love their colors too.

 

and San Francisco, and the Giants, and Jets, and Ravens, and Titans, and..well, you get the idea.

 

I think the Ravens have the key to our design.

They have an animal mascot, and they incorporate the City they represent in the logo and the Uniform.

They also have both striped and solid colored pants, which give their uni's diversity.

 

Browns is the best... we should move towards that.

 

In no particular order, the Vikings, Steelers and Raiders.

 

To me it's like being submerged under water and looking up at 45 degree angle and seeing a Dolphin swimming above you, only without the water.

 

I am not the biggest fan of the Steelers logo. Most of that is because I am not a fan of a logo having the mascot written on the logo. I like the Raiders logo a lot, however I think it would be better if it didn't say "Raiders" It is like the logo doesn't feel it can stand up to its conviction and has to tell me what it is supposed to be.

That is why one of the worst logo in my opinion was the old Bengals logo before they went to the stripes. It was like a cheap Halloween costume. "Hey look at me, I am a tiger."

 

I thought our home jerseys were still Aqua but we choose to wear white because of the heat. I mean if we played 8 home games at night our jersey would be aqua, not white

 

my two favorite are the Seahawks and Texans

Its funny how NFL logos and MLB logos are so different, NFL has more cartoony type logos while MLB are more professional looking type logos

 

I always wondered how come MLB jerseys don't have numbers on both sides?!???!!!

but I get your point, It would look weird, as weird as if other sports followed baseball and had their coaches wear the uniform. Its what we are used to

 

I always like the tiger strips on the helmets for the Bengals. But I always liked this logo even though it was never really on the helmets:

 

I think it has to do with refs being able to more easily identify player number in the NFL. In MLB, you don't need to.

 

Baseball has also been around a lot longer. More tradition.

 

This is a million times better than the frolicking playful dolphin logo.

 

Still waiting on the day when coaches are calling plays behind a facemask in full uniform.

 

Remember back in the 80s the Giants changed from their current logo to one with GIANTS across the side of the helmet, then later went back to the current one, which is true retro because it is the same as the one they have back in the 60s/70s?

If we play 7/8 of our home games in white, I don't see how one can suggest our home jerseys are aqua. Maybe according to the video games...

 

So then miami has 1 jersey and an 2 alternatives? There Home: White Away: White?

Miami played 0/8 home games in aqua, because of the heat. If heat was not a factor, they would wear Aqua, which imo makes that their home jersey. When they show the new jerseys, they will show Home: Aqua Away: White, but they will choose to wear away at home, its still their away jersey.

My point is if NFL moved all Dolphin games to 8pm, 8 Away games they would wear White, 8 Home games they would wear Aqua.

People say that because dolphins appear to be smiling all the time due to the shape of their mouths. Looks can be deceiving though, because as seagoing mammals go, dolphins are plenty tough.

 

What? You don't want a playful happy dolphin? This would cause other teams to relax when they see the dolphin frolicking through azure seas, and let their guard down, or in some cases just collapse in fits of laughter.

I would own a mansion if I was a multi-millionaire. Guess what? I'm not a multi-millionaire so it doesn't matter.

The Dolphins will never play the majority of their games at night so why do you think this argument is even valid? The Dolphins home jerseys are white. Their away jerseys are usually white because most teams have colored home jerseys. The Cowboys are the same way.

 

So are you saying we only have 1 jersey and 2 alternatives, (orange and aqua)

 

As for the ther tiger stripes on the Cincy helmets, I always wondered how it would look if the dolphins had a water ripple light reflection sort of effect all over aqua blue helmets?

Not sure if "water ripple light reflection" is the right way to call it or not lol, but I bet it would look pretty cool!

Lmfao! There were actually polls about this on facebook. Lots of those "everyones" are not in my circle of friends. Even so, I have enough friends on facebook to get a gauge of things from them if need be. It's really pretty easy because of all the crap that facebook now forces EVERYONE to see or use.
