The NEW ERA for the MIAMI DOLPHINS has started today.:ffic:

The recent past has made the FINS future look very bleak. Just when you might have thought they were going to hit rock bottom, they turn the ship around with a new captain leading the way.

The road back to the top will take a couple of seasons. But if the right gameplan is created the FINS could be making a run for the Championship in 3 seasons. Sure they could get real lucky with Free Agents, Draft Picks, etc... However they should be ready to compete for a playoff run within 2 seasons. That is saying a lot for a team that has just won it's first game of the season.

Either way it is a great feeling right now...it is hope!!! Next season does not feel like a 4-12 or worse team. :hi5:

The new captain will rebuild this team. No player, coach or executive is safe and improvements are coming.

    My Dream Off-Season...
RD 1: Chris Long w/o Trading Down OR Kenny Phillips & Extra Picks From Trading Down 4-6 Slots.
KEY FREE AGENTS: A. Samuel & A. Faneca OR A. Faneca & Bob Sanders

I am sure that Miami will rebuild quickly, before this happened I was thinking with the current staff Miami would need about 4-5 seasons to have a shot at making the playoffs. Things look much brighter now for Miami...

    GO PHINS!!!

Alan Faneca or Bob Sanders will not be a Dolphin next season, Asante Samuel is the most likely scenerio because he will hit the FA market and won't have the franchise tag put on him. Ken Hamlin is a possible but I don't see that happening either.

    L. Fitzgerald cap number next season is 14 million plus...

Briggs & Samuel can choose the highest bidder or pretty much any team.

Bob Sanders will want a big contract and the Colts will be strapped. But they still might pry some funds from Manning and lock him up long term.

I would pass on Albert Hanyesworth...

Hamlin makes sense and should not cost more than a good solid player. That is not cheap but will not break the bank.

Faneca could go either way...Sign & Trade, Tag, New Deal or Free Agency. But he is needed on the OLINE.

The FINS have some funds and new leadership. So let's just hope they spend the money wisely and get some good solid young talent.

The two players we need most, Bob Sanders and Nnamdi Asomugha are the two that we won't get.

Parcells can buiild a defense quickly. I'm waitying to see just how he's going to fit into the organization. The thing to remember is he's not a GM. Great name, great pedigree but we really have to wait and see what develops over the next few months before we understand how he's going to fit in

Curious, why do you think we need Sanders @ Safety? Certainly injuries have thinned us but dont you like any combination from J. Allen, Y. Bell, T. Tillman, R. Hill? I think 2 out of these 4 can man this properly.

I think we need a CB (Samuel??) either FA sign of Draft more than safety.

Bell is a F/A this year, plus he will be 29/30 next season and is coming off Achillles surgery, will he even be able to run effectively? Tillman is useless as a saddle on a pig. I don't see him returning next year. That leaves us with J. Allen and R. Hill as our safeties, what kind of depth does that leave? We definately need to pick up a good, dependable safety in F/A and draft a good prospect in the later rounds of the draft.

LT Flozell Adams and Patrick Crayton are two likely players to come from Dallas.

[They're free agents, and the FA's I've been wanting to come here for a while now].

Move Carey back to RT, with Satele in the middle.
