accept no imitations. He's got three TD's today. Is our most explosive offensive player. On an offense that LACKS EXPLOSION, why are we not resigning him??? Looks like we figured out how to use him in the passing game too...
*** the Officiial Resign Reggie Bush Thread I'm not against resigning Reggie, but I am against this thread.
Resign Reggie to be a dynamic offensive weapon. However, Lamar Miller HAS to be the #1 RB. He is by far the better between the tackles runner of the two.
*** the Officiial Resign Reggie Bush Thread I will leave the typeo just to upset u. In fcta. Im thkiing off speling evry woerd inkorectly
*** the Officiial Resign Reggie Bush Thread Na ah. I know u are going thru convulsions having typed that. U got the shakes. U are twitching worse than Chris Johnson.
Indifferent. I like him, would be happy if he stayed, wouldn't be upset if he didn't. We have much bigger holes to worry about.
I would love to see Reggie back on our team. He always gives 100% and is by far our best skill position player. Hopefully the price is right!
I'd rather have him on my fantasy football team than my starting running-back this week. Lamar Miller really illustrated how a runningback is supposed to make decisions today.
he can be our third down back, as long as the contract reflects it, 3/10.. Don't want him as the starter.
The last few games we've seen how versatile Reggie can be in this offense. Not resigning means losing a playmaker and team leader to possibly a division rival. I hope they can work out a contract soon.
Would you try your best to resign Reshad Jones if he were a free agent this offseason? Same thing for Reggie Bush... SAME THING!
Reshad Jones is playing at or above the 95th percentile of the players at his position, and Reggie Bush is playing at about the 50th of the players at his.
Reshad Jones has been light-years better at his position than Bush has been at runningback. If you wanted to put Reggie Bush into defensive back form this year it would be Terrell Buckley. A guy who isn't that great but will stick around, all the while causing you to question if the big plays are worth the effects of constantly gambling for them
I'm not saying he's the best back in the league. I'm not saying you pay him top five money. I'm saying he's our best offensive playmaker. And on a team bereft of playmakers, you KEEP WHAT YOU HAVE!
I really do not understand why so many people are down on Bush. He was a great P/U by Ireland and has been a solid contributer to our offense. I hope we resign him.
Well if you want to sign him to a contract that's consistent with the role he had in New Orleans, and have someone else start for you at running back, I'm with you.
Who else were they going to use to make a big play today?I like Reggie but their options were sorta limited today with the recievers banged up.
Ahmad Bradshaw signed a contract last year. 4 years, 18 million. Him and Reggie are about equal in production this year, except Bush is the better receiver.
But RB is also more of a liability as a pass blocker. I would be in favor of bringing him back under that type of contract. I'm leery of losing play makers an offense with so few of them.
I think that's a fair contract. You could maybe go 4 years $20 mill and say that fourth year is really an option year. He'll be 30 after the 3rd year anyway. If Reggie wants to play here, and play for a contender, help this team win a championship, he's got to realize he needs to play ball contractually. I think he's a smart guy. I think he knows his role. He's not going to carry it 20 times a game. He hasn't done that the last two years here.
Ceiling huh? One of the better ypc guys in the league, and when he gets 20 carries this year??(only twice) he is averaging close to 140 yards in those games. Bush shouldn't get top 10 RB $$, but to assume there are many better options is naive.
He shouldn't be all that expensive to resign so why not? He's proven that he's effective in this offense and if we can get some more weapons around him I think he'll be even more effective. He's not going to get some ridiculous Chris Johnson deal so he's worth keeping at the right price. He's played well here and been a good guy to have in the locker room so he should be someone we target to keep. And this is from a guy (me) who didn't like him before he came here and thought he was a bad seed from his USC days...
Not only would I keep Bush, I'd make him the #1 offseason priority as far as keeping our own guys. Ahead of Jake Long and Sean Smith. I'd open up contract negotiations with him EEEEmediately.
