5 int's in a "must win" game...fun stuff. Ah, should check out some Jest forums...but oddly enough, GG is down..
I laughed for five straight minutes at the end of this game... best thing all year. And now Rex is saying he's not ready to name a starting quarterback next week.... oh man... ahahahahahah.... they pulled Sanchez when he got hot (he's a streaky qb when he's hot watch out... but rarely does that happen) and put Tebow in and it killed ANY streak that Sanchez was getting on. Where have we seen that before? Somewhere Chad Henne is chilling on his couch drinking a beer...
Yup, been sitting hear laughing for the last little while, what a great way to end the football weekend.
Remember the Henne vs Sanchez debate? That's like debating who's funnier: Dane Cook or Larry the Cable Guy!
I think Rex could actually be a good coach, but for all you Jeff Ireland haters.. meet Mike Tannenbaum. At least, while he's still there. That guy's moves (including Sanchez) have just crippled that team.
this is one of the greatest monday night games of all time, my whole family was non stop laughing at the end of the game.
Hearing Dilfer and Young cover for the Nacho was pa-the-tic I never bought the rhythm argument, to me a guy can play Qb or they cannot, sitting out for one play should not effect their delicate little egos. TBH, I'm surprised the team has played as well has it has considering no Revis or Holmes, but still.
Psh.. definitely the worst hire. Brad Smith comes to mind too.. Ladainian Tomlinson was still balling when they chose not to resign him.. the weird Tackle trade with St. Louis.. Signing all of our cast-offs.. Santonio Homes being Santonio Homes.. Mark Sanchez extension.. and Tebow. There's probably more but I can't think of any right now.
To me, their critique sounded like a crucifixion. EDIT: Dilfer just made a good point about them building a "Fast Food" team and how it has imploded on them this year (and the tail end of last year too).
To a point, but imo they did not really lay the blame on whom it belonged to, Sanchez, he has enough experience in the league to know there are some throws you cannot attempt in a game in this magnitude. Nacho very much reminds of the same Qb who came out of USC 3-4 yrs ago, dummy throws, poor field general. Only difference was in the good years he was hitting on those throws now they are just int's. Another way to look at it is Nacho was 13-21 for 130 yds
i don't think they were completely covering for him. it sounded like they were trying to say that the entire team stinks, including him. something like "Mark Sanchez has done absolutely nothing the second half of these season to make you believe he is the future"-- I don't see that as covering for him at all. I think their point was that he's already not very good and the coaching is also not helping him/making it worse
Sanchez is being benched for Greg McElroy. McElroy is the new Jets QB. LOL! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...chez-new-york-jets-benched-greg-mcelroy-start
So ends the saga of Sanchez,I was really hopeing for one more year but realize all good things come to an end.
They'll have an almost $9m hit in cap for the trade... Probably more due to having to pay out some of the guaranteed money on his contract to make another team take him... Love it!
