Jesus christ I am sick of watching these 4th comebacks from all these rookie qbs except ours. And don't give me that field goal comeback against the seahawks. What is he 1-5 when we need him in the clutch.I watched nick ****ing foles bring back the eagles and kirk cousins with comeback after griffin got hurt and these guys needed tds to win not field goals..I don't see that it factor from this guy.I know are talent on the offensive side is not that great but ****ing 8 tds in 13 games is not acceptable.A qb is supposed to make the people around him better and I didn't see it at texas a&m and not seeing here either.Chad henne all over again. He was drafted way to high just like jake locker. Please fire ireland!!!!!
At least he was able to prevent a possible interception being factored into his QB rating by throwing the ball away on 4th down and a 1:25 left killing any chance of a comeback...can't teach that, just plain instincts.
It would certainly help him if they called pass plays that he had a chance of actually completing. There was over 4 min. to go in the game and they kept trying fairly long passes. The fins don't have the receivers that can get open deep. Why not throw shorter and work your way downfield and take advantage of the skills their receivers do have.
I can't believe how unathletic we are on offense. That pass to bess should have tied the game. It's not thills throw, it's bess being too slow to get there. Saw that a lot today. Marlon Moore drops what would have been a deep td. Thill is just ****ed right now with this squad.
Its crossed my mind, but this team is devoid of offensive talent. And today was the first time they actually decided to use Bush in the passing game...a little late there coaches! I'll reserve my judgment for next season, but remain cautious in getting my hopes up. Given our awful QB track record, nobody should get their hopes up too high. Cautiously optimistic.
I watched nick foles with no desean jackson, brent celeck, sean mcoy, drive them down the field twice with 4 min left to beat the bucs.Because he made everyone around him better.
Bull****. It's not there, why can't you guys see it? Blinded by hope. Jesus guys I want to win to but a spade is a spade is a spade. The "it factor" is not there.
He definitely flashes skills that other QBs just don't have. But my God does he also have some brutal and ugly moments during the game... Not sold on him, 100%. But that doesn't mean we should give up on him. He deserves some more time and more weapons.
what? Thill overthrew him by 4 or 5 yards. There were at least 3 or 4 overthrown balls when we really need them. It's crap.
Wow...Already throwing in the towel on him? I'm not...He's going to be very good.. It's just not going to happen right away. I mean lets take a look here.... 1. Has played only a handful of games as a QB until his stint in the NFL yet already displays the ability to make ANY throw needed. 2. He has a bunch of snail receivers to throw to. Yeah Bess and Hartline are nice possession guys but we don't have a single burner on this team. Meanwhile guys like Cousins/RG3, and Nick Foles have Pierre Garcon and Jeremy Maclin to throw to (both fast receivers. In fact Jason Avant is probably better than anything we have on our team receiver wise. WE HAVE NOTHING! NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING! We have no explosive player what so ever for him to throw to yet he still has Bess and Hartline hovering around 1000 yards each for the year. We have no third receiver to throw to at all so Bess and Hartline (as slow as they are) are being blanketed on every play. Yet somehow Tannehill has found a way to place a catchable ball in their direction. He pretty much played a mistake free game today despite not throwing all over the dominant defense of the 49ers (who does). Seriously bro...You act like the sky is falling because we didn't beat the 49ers (a superbowl contender) in their own building. We are not a good team and that is evident. This is a work in progress and I think we all knew this was going to be this way this year.
**** wasn't there in college either.Look how good texas AM is now without tannehill.Hell the freshman qb won the heisman and they went 10-2.****ing 6-6 with tannehill and sherman. Remember also this guy had a huge advantage over every rookie qb out there because he knew the ****ing playbook.
must say some of you should be embarrassed to call yourselves fans...throwing the kid under the bus darn well knowing what he has to work with...pathetic
Unless it's busted coverage like the play on the 1st drive....in which Hartline was a hair away from breaking free, which he obviously didn't do.
I'm just saying that i'm willing to wait and see before giving up on him. Like it or not he's going to be our guy next year, and I think if he's still having those horrific moments that we see then at that point I think Devlin gets his shot. The sky is not falling just yet and Tannehill has three games left to make his mark on what has been yet another tough season as a Dolphin fan.
I don't agree with this. I didn't see the last drive yet but thorough out the season they've done a good job separating.
Best qb we've seen for us the last 14 years... if you don't realize that at the moment, you should have your vision checked.
If you bothered to watch the game today I'd ask you how many times we threw a 5 yard pass and gain 5 yards on the play. Then I'd point out how many times the 49ers threw a 5 yard pass and gained 15-20 yards. There is something to be said about having play makers around a young QB
the receivers get separation by play design... not by themselves. Not sure why that's a hard concept to understand.
The only thing I don't like about Tannehill so far is that fothermucking batted passes. He's got to work on that this offseason. It has to be fixed..So does our receiving core. Also...Did anyone else realize that we were playing the 49ers today? The best defense in the NFL?
Ratings of QB's who played the 49ers... Rogers 93 Stafford 79 Ponder 94 Sanchez 39 Fitzpatrick 57 Eli Manning 87 Russell Wilson 38 Skelton 68 Bradford 104 J. Campbell 52 Brees 86 Bradford 81 Tannehill 74
Which is why they're on pace for having career high in receiving yards. Tanny has thrown strikes to them but they can't seem to break any tackles. People are quick to point out over and under throws, but don't take into account the YAC on accurate passes.
Can't get the ball in the endzone thats how.Only 2 qbs since the nfl went to a 16 game schedule have thrown 10 tds or less while starting 16 games.
So, if we put them in order... Bradford 104 Ponder 94 Rogers 93 Eli Manning 87 Brees 86 Bradford 81 Stafford 79 Tannehill 74 Skelton 68 Fitzpatrick 57 Sanchez 39 J. Campbell 52 Russell Wilson 38
