Charlie Anderson couldn't hold JT's jockstrap. It's good to see our coach want to have our best player and pretty much the linchpin of the D back.
He really needs to play as this defense needs that type of player. Anderson and Moses clearly are not. Since he'll be here only one season it's good notice for the GM to prepare and get an OLB in the next offseason via free agency or draft. I suspect it will be his number one priority.
Depending on Torbor's progress and Crowder's status, we may need a ILB more. But you're right, we do need a dynamic defensive player that teams need to adjust their game-plans for. The DE's we have outside of Taylor don't look the part and seem like more solid than spectacular. Regardless though, CB is our weak point on the D that sorely needs fixing and needed fixing from the draft.
This team has so many holes one draft was surely not anywhere near enough to fix this team. I'd say we are 3 years away from contending.
Sparano Now Wants JT Back Seems to be more waffling than a presidential campaign. Check it out: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-63dolphinswantsjtback,0,6247027.story
Where's the waffling ?? Sparano told the press what he knew at the time last week. Now he's trying to mend fences and get things with JT back in line. There is no doubt that this team will be better because of his play and his leadership. This being despite the other changes this regime has made. JT is pretty much locked in to playing here next season based on his proclamation that "he will only play for one more year" anyway. He probably killed his chances of ending up on a contender with that revelation. He has sealed his own fate. It's probably time for this charade that Tuna is putting on to end and get back to the business of football. JT should do the same. Now, that doesn't mean that Tunaland won't listen to or even shop him around more, since he obviously has made it clear that he wouldn't be opposed to a trade and if there's one thing we do need it's more options of talent than what we have. That doesn't mean that whatever draft pick we might get is more talented than JT, just provides us with more options and more potential for a guy that while the most talented guy on the team, is not going to be around after this season... So JT, Tuna....move on and get this behind us. The sooner the better for all parties...
