    Well, he's had 12 games.

It was a tough day for him, and somewhat discouraging. I do hope we start to seem some improvement over the next 4 games.

But at least he isn't Blaine Gabbert.

Moore had bad games last year.
He lost the job this year.

Well it was interesting to see Martin at LT and get a glimpse of what could be if they choose not to resign Long.

He was up against a guy who would normally never even see the field (and I think he managed to get 2 sacks).

Just checked the stats, yes Trevor Scott got 2 sacks today. Now, I can't remember if they were Martin's fault or not but since the guy has 6 tackles for the season before today it's fair to say he isn't a regular contributor.

I really didnt like the inability to recognize what the talent was doing on the field.

Sherman and Philbin not seeing that Thomas was ready to play, while keeping bush in there doing what he does, was bad recognition.as a coach you've got recognize, I mean after that amazing play Thomas had to set up that TD in the first half , he didnt see the field until mid fourth quarter..ridiculous to me considering your starting back can't play the position consistently..

Running Bush on first down to start two drives in a row in the 2nd half, was poor play callin, you gotta attack the field, waiting for this guy to make a big play is not how I would design offense, on the third drive, of course they did'nt give it to him again, leaving us completely predictable on first down..not good coaching on that.

That has been a problem with Bush since about the fourth game of the season. He's a drive-killer.

I remember 1 of Scott's sacks coming against Martin but I wouldn't hold it against him. It was the play where Tannehill holds the ball forever and a day and decides to run too late. Can't remember the other one though.

There were what, at least 2 or 3 drives in the second half that started off with Bush losing yardage on 1st and 10? I know Tannehill didn't play his best today, but he's been put into some pretty bad situations through no means of his own doing. I was watching the Colts game against Detroit today; Luck rarely ever faces those 2nd and 10s, 11s, and 12s the way Tannehill did today.

Tannehill's accuracy dipped today, that's for sure. But the offensive effort certainly isn't all on him.

Well the biggest blunder of the game goes to Jimmy Wilson running into the kicker. That was just ever so back breaking for us. Pats scored a TD off of that play and I think that is the difference from this game going to us. We made some atrocious choices when in scoring position and just some really stupid stuff killed our drives. Tannehill was off today but I really liked the fact that he made plays with his legs. He's a tough kid which tells me he's going to be mentally tough as well as his career moves on.
So while the offense was bad as usual, the most costly play was the running into the kicker play. We had the Pats punting and the momentum looked to be shifting into our favor. That was by far the biggest game changing play of the game and it was probably more than just a 7 point swing.

I don't think Lamar Miller saw an offensive snap today either, but he dressed.

I think this coaching staff needs to take a long, hard look at the roster and start incorporating guys into the offense that are going to be around next year. I don't think Reggie Bush qualifies.

Wow, I thought that Luck and RG3 were both rookies. I guess I am wrong, since both these teams seem to be winning with these guys at the QB position.

The Patriots are one of the best offensive teams in the NFL. Not one of the best defensive teams. Putting only one TD on the scoreboard against the Patriots defense was just plain bad.

When Philbin was with the Packers, he was responsible for putting in the offensive game plan during the week. He was not given the responsibility of calling the plays on game day. I think we are beginning to see why the Packers didn't want him calling the plays during the actual game.

I like Philbin, but just like Tannehill, he has a lot to learn before he can be considered a success in his present position.

You need to do some basic research before you make such inane and worthless posts.

The Redskins are 5-6, and the average winning percentage of the teams that have started the 27 rookie quarterbacks who have gotten significant playing time since 2004 is below .500.

You're starting to come across as a very closed-minded guy who has his mind made up about various things and is impervious to any new information. Welcome to my ignore list.

So when are we gonna actually win an important game? Oh sure we can beat the jets, raiders, and most other "easy" games.

But when its time to step up, they fall flat on their face. Miami had every chance in the world to win this game, as well as the first jets game, game againt the cards, and colts.

I dont get how a team can consistantly do the same s*** every year. I mean come on, step up!

I saw a lot of patriot mistakes as well, team got pushed around at the end by a banged up oline..

4th quarter the Pats run the ball at will burn almost 8 minutes and 3 Miami timeouts.
All of this is RT's fault cause he missed 2 deep balls.
I can't believe you watched the game can't block can't run the ball!!!!!!!!!!

I certainly thought our offense would play better after putting up 24 points and a late win against a great defense like the Seahawks. Though, I also thought the Patriots would score much more.

We need playmakers. We could use a top game changing WR and someone in the secondary who can get turnovers. Dansby should, he certainly gets paid well enough, probably too much for someone who is just a good solid player and not much more. I can't recall ever seeing him make a game changing play for Miami. I'm sure he has, but it rarely happens.

Dude the talent just isn't that good.

Take today for instance. That game was over before it began, even though NE played a ****ty game. You could see it in their eyes, and how scared they were to start the game. The Denny low hike, the 3 and out and THill looked like he was afraid to play. Mentally NE already had the game won.

When the talent is below par they need to be mentally perfect and they are far from that.

I don't see why we didn't get Bess involved more (unless he was smothered by the Patriots the entire game...unlikely), and why they didn't give Miller a shot.

I understand that line of thinking bro. I really do. I wrestle with that the notion all the time and I'm not completely sold on the idea myself, but I think that the benefit is exactly what you mentioned; a chance at a wildcard birth, to win more. That's a lot better for me. That's what is all about. Another Sunday of Miami football. Woo! Live in the now whilst also doing your best to prepare for the future. As a fan of the team, I always want to see them win as much as possible. That's why we watch and love the sport. You can't keep thinking "I'm looking to next year or so to be successful. We get one short season and I always want to make the most out of it. You keep looking to the future and looking to the future and than life has passed you by. I also don't feel that it's sacrificing the future and wasting Tanne by letting him sit and be groomed a bit more. I think that is certainly more of a win/win for the team and for us fans. Tanne had like 19 college starts, I certainly don't think it's unreasonable nor wasting time by grooming him a bit more. I always want to win now. The Mayans could be right and there may be no next season. :pointlol:

Well, that's why they are considered some of the top defenses, because they make a lot of QBs struggle, no?.. and considering he was a back-up on a new team with a shortened off-season, I think expecting no mistakes and expecting him to play like a Brady right out of the gate is a bit unreasonable. To ignore or diminish what he did do is wrong. It was pretty amazing. His better play-making ability was obvious. He also was the one who actually knew how to use Marshall and get the best out of him. I'm sure he could do that with these receivers as well.

Exactly. We don't know exactly, but even if it was 7-5, wouldn't that feel a whole lot better right now?

No, of course not, but he certainly hasn't yet shown me that he unquestionably or definitely is the answer. A lot of people, at this point, thought Henne was the answer and I already mentioned that there is A LOT I like about Tanne and he's shown some good potential and he's has given me some hope for the future. It's not about me being down on the kid. It's about what I originally mentioned.

It's a very tough call, no doubt.
