you do realize there is such a thing as zone coverage? you know where players are responsible for parts of the field?

just rewatched the play three times… SS had Tate who was handed off to Jones in the middle of the field. McCoy cleared the back of the defense and SS saw him started towards him stopped took one slow step (while McCoy was now creating separation)… then he ran after McCoy way too late

 

Again, you do not know what your talking about! Smith was all of a sudden responsible for two men! No matter who he covered there there was going to be wide open player.
