What, no remarks about Ajax? Totaalvoetbal at it's finest (without the excessive capital, of course).
horrible sideline ref today for the LFC Everton grudge match. Disallowed a goal in extrra time due to "offside"... yet he started the game by not calling offside when the Everton forward was well offside... about as blatant a fix as I've seen.
I haven't seen the finale yet. But it's been solid... not as solid as Hard Knocks though. Great that both teams are being covered the same way this year though.
Henning Berg won the Premier League title with Blackburn in 1995 Now get us back to PL this coming year.
and LFC continue to drop points at home. They are like the anti Barcelona. They possess the ball wonderfully, yet fail to finish.
Really wished "Being Liverpool" would have been a season long story behind the scenes....setting up for epic season of angst! OH well...fun while it lasted.
LFC Fans - this is a fascinating read: http://www.eplindex.com/21324/liverpool-experimental-tactical-approach-vs-anji.html
Hey Milan, check this guy out... No wonder why we are in 13th place.

We (Milan) are being fiscally responsible. We will see where Barca, Real, and Man Utd are in 3-5 years. Especially with the Financial Fair Play rules, which will only become more strict in the future. The three teams I mentioned are so far in the red. In fact, if Spain gets bailout money, don't be surprised to see a portion of it to go to the two clubs to aid their situation as well. http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/...rules-atletico-madrid-malaga-in-danger-091212 It is not easy being a Milan fan this year that is for sure. However, El Shaarawy is proving to be a top rated player, and all the big clubs already want him. Milan have a lot of youth coming up. That is what should be focused on IMO. Additionally, they don't have the capital to be a big spender in the market. There was rumors of a partial sell off to a rich United Emirate prince/oil baron whatever, which would have stimulated our financial backing tenfold. After all this though, I am still with you on the Ibra issue. We sold Ibra and Thiago Silva for what we could have dumped Pato for a year ago. Pato is consistently injured, and didn't really fit Allegri's system and surely wasn't compatible with Ibrahimovic. Then, with Ibra leaving, you have a malcontent Cassano - who now went to Inter. All because Pato knocked up Berlusconi's daughter. For those of you who don't know Berlusconi is/was Milan's owner, but also past Prime Minister of Italy as well, and his daughter Barbara is a Board Member. Yup, Pato knocked her up. In the end, not selling Pato cost Milan three premiere players with Ibra and Silva top 3 at their position in the world, as opposed to simply jettisoning Pato for the same money. Brilliant. Don't get me started on Pato and his constant injuries. That is a different point altogether. Both good and bad, but I don't necessarily fault Milan at the moment. We will prevail.
Only time will tell if this UEFA FFP works out for Serie A clubs or not, I guess the EPL and Bundesliga could handle it and about La Liga I don't really care about them LOL, Galliani stated that this will hurt italian teams. From Wikipedia: I also believe Milan could have kept Ibra OR Thiago if Pato and Robinho were sold on time. Milan just weakened two sides of the squad on both defense and offense and they already know Inzaghi, Seedorf, Nesta, Gattuso, Zambrotta were leaving. We see the product on the field, going from Ibrahimovic to Pazzini and from Silva to Bonera is really depressing, thank God El Shaarawy is carrying Milan on his shoulders. Many claim for Allegri's head week after week but I won't blame him completely for this situation. Berlu also mentioned on some italian radio station that we (the fans) have to wait and we will bounce back. Il Vivaio Rossonero must step up. Well, I'm also a Dolphins fan so I'm used to have some bad-mediocre seasons I want to share an article I found on the net two months before selling Ibra & Silva, worth the read If you like a view of Milan’s financial situation. At the time I thought we weren't that bad since AC Milan is among the richest clubs in Europe (I believe we're 6th) but I was wrong. I must warn you is a long article. http://swissramble.blogspot.mx/2012/05/milan-warning-signs.html From the link: Forza Milan!
Well, with Milan qualifying to the next round in Champs league, they are awarded an additional 10Mil Euros. Rumors swirling around that Balotelli could be on his way. Soccer transfer rumors are about as credible as a snake oil salseman, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Another draw for LFC today. Playing well but just can't finish. Rodgers comments after the match hinted that the club won't spend carelessly in January. I'm ok with that. Balance the books. Sell Downing and invest in Sterling. Trust the process and I trust Rodgers will fix it.
Well Borini wasn't overrated... we just overpaid I disagree on Allen. Although he's seemingly hit a wall the last few weeks. Probably needs a bit of a rest with Lucas coming back?
I was grouping the under performers in with the overrated ones. And yeah Allen has been playing better although he still gives it up at midfield a little too much sometimes and constantly gets muscled off the ball thanks to his diminutive size. Leiva coming back should have a positive effect on pith Gerrard and Allen allowing both of them to move further up closer to Suarez. Need a point vs Spurs today. 3 would be nice.
Yeah I don't like this at. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1243446/uefa-could-scrap-europa-league-in-2014?cc=5901
Yes, it's not against the rules but it's about sportmanship. EDIT: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/nov/27/shakhtar-luiz-adriano-banned-one-game
nice win against the Hammers yestereday minus Luis Suarez.. and we still put up three goals... hmmmm.... Really like what Jordan Henderson can bring as an attacking midfielder lately. The last two games he's been very good.. linking and integrating in the final third.
Sturridge is officially signed. It'll be interesting to see how he pairs with Suarez. Finally someone to play level with him though. Henderson has looked good in an attacking midfield role.
I saw that whole thing with Balotelli earlier this morning. If Mancini can't get him to behave, not many coaches will IMO. I want Milan to go after him this transfer window, but after seeing this, I am not so certain.
