No more moral victories, time to judge this team with a critical eye.

    1. They lost to an inferior team.

    2. They lost to a superior quarterback.

    3. They could not get off the filed on 3rd down, and most of it had to do with dumb down and situation play as well as some play calling.

    4. So you have a hot rookie quarterback on the fast track to stardom and you are allowed to hold Cameron Wake incessantly? Good deal, I guess.

    5. Make a god damn play Karlos Dansby. If not, you are not worth your contract. You are paid like it, so MAKE PLAYS. CATCH THE BALL.

    6. Oh no. The return of bad Sean Smith. If you were forced to blame the game on one player, I guess Sean Smith is as good as any. CATCH THE BALL. Make a play? please?

    7. The push up into Luck's face was not there. He was allowed to step up and be comfortable in the pocket. A first for this year.

    8. Lamar Miller did "something". Some of our running woes are Back driven. A change of pace and a roll of the dice "in game" is/was needed. Daniel Thomas is not it.

    9. We need a receiver that can make a play FOR Tanny instead of Tanny carrying his receivers. Hartline did play a perfect game int eh sense that he got everything delivered. A nod and a pat in the back for Hartline, a fist pump and "way to go" to Tanny. Obvious that Tannehill is the best player in our passing game and nobody is close. We need "that guy".

    10. Anthony Fasano was essentially useless today. Strange site was Fasano struggling to get off the line and get open versus an assortment of mediocre man to man coverage. The one time he gained a step, Tanny over-shot him.

    11. Ryan Tannehill must relax in the face of a rush. He left many yards and the extension of the final drive on the field by losing his footwork in delivery of a pass (some very simple ones BTW) because of mere pressure. That can't happen, if he wants to be an effective quarterback.

Very discouraging loss, and the first total disappointment of the season. They lost to an inferior team, and I thought that we were done doing that. We miss the playoffs, point to this game.

I am not a happy camper.

I am not sure how you determined that the Colts were the inferior team. They had the same record as the Dolphins going into the game. They had beaten a team, the Packers, which is superior to any team the Dolphins had beaten this year.

I think these were two evenly matched mediocre teams and today the Colts happen to to come out the winner. If they played 10 times, I think they would probably end up 5-5. The Dolphin team I saw today could certainly not be considered a superior team to the Colts.

The Colts have a talent edge at WR and QB and nowhere else. That's how I say they are inferior.

Sec... what was Anthony Fasano doing on that one deep pass in the first quarter? You really think Tannehill overthrew him? Looked to me and I only saw it once, that he lost the ball / took a bad angle. Think Sean Smith.

I thought he picked it up late, but Tanny tried to be too perfect with the pass. he had to be early and deliver it. Fasano had an egde on safeties today, although we didn't exploit it.

Tannehill is going to be driven all week more than usual based on that last drive. He knows he left some plays on the field.

I could not agree with everything in Sec's post more....

Wake being held and our LBs STRUGGLING as we'll as S.Smith all made me consider throwing my remote through the television.

Next week can't get here soon enough.

Actually the Colts are one of the best in the league at taking away the Te from an offense.

The defense was just atrocious, my goodness it was as if they read their own press clippings, Luck was making some ridiculous plays with guys draped around him but still..3rd and 21 and the Wr was wide open for the conversion?

Jake Long looks flat out confused at times.

I hate nit picking with Tannehill because I have been more impressed with him every week...but he has to make at least 2 of those throws once we got to mid-field. He never set his feet and looked antsy for the first time this year. Worse thing we could have done in that situation is leave us in a 4th and long and that's exactly what happened. We desperately needed some positive yardage on 1st and 2nd down

I just saw Mike Williams take a 5 yard slant 50 yards for a score. Nobody on this team can do that

Luck is playing better than any rookie Qb ever has...

We got beat by an elite NFL Qb...who happens to be a rookie.

    Rodgers..Brady..Manning..Big Ben..Eli..Bree's..Luck...

If I had to start a franchise today, out of all of the elites, I go with Luck.

From what I saw today. They had a better pass blocking offensive line. They also had a better secondary and better pass rushers. The RB's were about equal. Just making a statement that the Dolphins have the better team doesn't make it true.

I would like to add, that on the first TD from Luck to Wayne, Cam Wake (pretty sure it was him) whipped around inside and he got flat out HOOKED preventing him from sacking/interupting that pass. I saw it real-time and every replay after that. I KNEW then, that we would lose and told my wife at that time.
That was some of the worst(best) homefield officiating I have seen outside of New England.

None of that matters if Smith doesn't **** himself on the field and if the offense puts the game away early. 3 second half points and an inability to get 10 yards with the game on the line is just as bad.

To not get effective pressure on that horrendous journey-men o-line is a disgrace. The coverage was horrific. No one stepped up and made a single play despite many opportunities. And where the hell is our run game? Shonn Greene gashes these guys but we can't? This game was bad, because we let a bad team seem very good today. Don't sugar coat **** about the Colts. Save for Luck, and a well aged Freeney and Wayne, this team is bad.

They dominated us and deserved the win. Its the first game since the Texans we were dominated. I don't know if we really are this bad once we face a competent QB, or we just took the damn week off. And don't look at the damn score board. We have holes that very good teams are going to GAPE.

Piss poor game. We didn't lose to the Pats or Ravens...don't sugar coat it.

Yea I'm not "Canes like" when it comes to blaming officials...but wow I thought I saw Wake held 3-4 times Luck dropped back. And he made the most out of those extra split seconds.

The one saving grace for this season is that we play so many HORRIBLE teams. But that scares me for next year. We can eek into the playoffs playing so many bad teams, especially with so much parity abound. But when we get a tougher schedule and teams adjust, is it Sparano 2.0? Resting on false laurels, do we head into the meat grinder thereafter. This possibility scares the **** out of me.

If we draft effectively it won't matter. The chances of that happening is better discussed in any of the 15 other threads, but that's what it takes along with good coaching. Just see the 49ers.

Colts pass-rushers always seem to play better at home. just like the colts this year, tough as hell at home, very mediocre on the road. I'm pissed at yesterday's loss, but would have been enraged if we lost this one at home.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO LEARN , THAT WE ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE THE CART OR THE HORSE BUT NEVER BOTH.

just once in my dolphin fan life would love to have the horse and the cart.

we have been a good defensive team while we have been horrible on offense and versa . or when we had Marino we had no runningback , or tightend or wr so we get the skill players and lose Dan .

this is why I am angry with the front office.

we refused to get some stud players even though they may be nuts . we replace Welker with players who couldnt start for other teams . we dont scare anyone on offense and Miami will not see the playoffs until we get the horse and the cart both . Marino has had some help but Jimmy traded them away when he should have just rebuilt thedefense without taking away Marino's help.

ehh. those two guys are pretty close to done. and I consider them hybrids like Cam Wake, who I consider better than both of them.

I am feeling worse about this loss with each day. I need a win to forget about this one.

Yeah, I felt pressured to keep the last one too long. I ended up creeping myself out. This one has no chance for me to feel like I am possibly betraying innocence.
