Grown men?????? I laugh in your general direction. Grown men do not need to be told they can't curse when being interviewed. Grown men know that they need to clean up their own messes. Grown men know that not tying your shoes means that you don't take things seriously, and are out just to play, not to work. Those who have to do that stuff to get attention may be legal adults, but grown men. El Torro Poopoo!

I think 3-13 to 5-11 (at best). I used to think we were a 5-11 team. But, unless the WR position and OL is strong, we're not going to put points on the board and need several more pieces. The best thing about that situation is a chance at a high pick which might yield a great WR (or multiple picks that someone else will trade into to grab a QB).

My most certain prediction, however, is this: 0-1 start.

I honestly believe we will hit rock bottom. Yes, worse than 2007. By 2013 we will firmly establish ourselves as a bottom of the barrel team, rivaling the ineptitude of historically bad Lions teams. Before long, half the stadium will be empty.

This will not change until Ireland is gone. We have gone from an honored franchise to the joke of the NFL. Living off of past glory is no longer relevant, and the final nail will come when there are 25,000 people at a Dolphins regular season game towards the end of the season.

I've always been a homer but at this moment I have little faith in this team or organization. I hope I'm proven wrong. I just can't see how a rebuilding project that started with Wannestadt is still happening, 5 coaches later. How much more can a franchise take? What is the endgame, put all our chips on the hopeful development of a rookie QB with no weapons to throw to an OL that is still shaky?

After Hicks injury today, that pretty much leaves his free agency acquisitions as questionable at best. Naanee and Marshall. And we all better hope Marshall holds up this year. Most of us are far from Naanee apologists.

I'm thinking 4-12. I'm not happy about it, but I think this team has so many holes. When I think about next year's draft, I think we need to address half of the positions on the football team. It's pretty scary. I will say, however, that I like what I've seen from Coach Philbin and I think he has us heading in the right direction. Sometimes things get worse before they can get better.

I am very dissapointed to see my prediction was 9-7 I thought it was 10-6. I remember thinking 10-6 and I probably changed it to 9-7 to temper my optimism.
Anyway I thought it would be interesting to pull this thread back up. Some of you have already ate crow. lol
I will be wrong by 1 game even though my heart said 10-6 and my brain made my fingers type 9-7.
We score 21.4 points per game and we allow 18 points per game.

hubris, ever served the military? winning is in details & discipline. the nail that sticks up from the floor is hammered down to create a flawless surface. let the coaching cadre coach, creating an environment conducive to winning & the habit of excellence.
think about it? what's not to like?this team has already met & surpassed every expectation

Been there! Done that! Found out about Navy Chiefs... Our chief told a young newly aboard seaman to go swab the passageway outside Radio Central. Young'un thought he was a smart-@$$ and asked the Chief where to plug the swab in. Chief told him "Bend over!" with a tone in his voice that told this young man everything he needed to know about who he was, and who the Chief was! The Chief walked out and told me "If he doesn't do it right, it will be your @$$!" He got it done right!

Philbin would have been a good Navy Chief.

I mostly agree although with a minor difference. I see dont think I see SEA as a win. they are just playing so spontaneously explosive, who knows.

I also -without a doubt- do not believe the pats beat us twice. Once - maybe, probably.- Twice? I dont think there is a chance in hell. i'd say 1-1. at best for them.

Either way.... Comes out about the same. :tongue2:

My thing is, forget the military, in most business settings you can't go around cussing in front of clients or leaving a mess at your station/desk/area/vehicle/etc...why should football be different?

Man is it fun looking back at some of these predictions and how terrible they were. I am so glad that we have the season we have this year. This has been my favorite Dolphins team in a long, long time.

Arodgers gets an Atta boy also for telling us so. Not explosive but the team is fighting.

Seatle is gonna be tough and I previously thought we would beat the Pats twice or at least once. But after I decided to break it down like that, I couldn't argue with the numbers. But that changes all the time. I think if Carpenter is back to his old self we get an additional 6 more points per game. Division games can't ever be accurately predicted by using any logic. lol. I still think we can beat the Pats, it would have to be our home game. And we might lose to the Seahawks. Either way, we should be 10-6.

I'm sure it was a pleasant surprise to you but its so much nicer to be an optimist and have optimism validated. I enjoy being in a good mood throughout offseasons.
