Hi. I need to be able to take some short videos off the Internet and put them on something where a judge can look at?, however, my computer is broken beyond repair, all I have is an iPad, if anyone can help or does something like that, please let me know..it's for a good cause...
If they are YouTube videos, all you need to do is copy the URL from the address bar and paste them in the body of the email. They should come up as hyperlinks that can be viewed. Same thing should work from any other video hosting site as well. Good luck!
thats part of my problem, computer busted, here's what I did..I filmed the videos with my iPhone, then sent those videos to my iPad email, so now I have the videos downloaded on my iPad..maybe I can just hand the judge my iPad, all he has to do his touch it..not sure that format is allowed in court.
DJ ask your lawyer what the best format is. Your lawyer could probably help you get the videos into the proper format.
Okay, I'm a public defender and am tech savvy. You made these videos yourself on your iPhone? Do you have the Phone? It wouldn't be 100% ideal, but in my courts we have clients whose attorney says, "And you have video?" "Yes" "Your honor, we'd like you to see this. Can he cut on his iPhone and get it set up so counsel can view it then we'll show it to you?" "You may" The problem with what you've done in uploading them to YouTube and then sending links to the iPad is that if you don't have internet access on the iPad, you won't be able to retrieve them. If your iPad has 3G or 4G and you have a data plan, that should be fine. You'll need to talk to your lawyer or ahead of time to court security if you are representing yourself to make sure you can get into the building with an electronic device. My courthouse is very lax about this, but some neighboring ones are very uptight about such things. There are probably ways to do things in another manner, but I'd keep it simple. If you recorded the video on the iPhone and it's still there, just use the phone.
Maybe get a friend with a pc to record what you need and send the clip to your email. Your iphone can open the email to show the video. hypercam has a free trail desk top recorder if you need to record from a pc and save it to you tube or send the file to a email. If you recorded it with your iphone like James said just take it in with a good charged battery and use it.
Deej I read the post in with Nappy's and see what you need. The hypercam will do it. PM me if you don't have access to a PC and need help. I can send your iphone a short clip to test if you need.
DJ, American Idol judges prefer that you sing live in front of them. Seriously, I'm not sure how your Cam Wake Butt Videos are going to help you get out of your predicament, butt... to each their own.
the video are on the iPad itself J, I downloaded them when they came in from the email, so I don't need Internet to show, just touch the screen and boom. Do you think at my custody hearing he will accept the iPad as a format to view important evidence?
Just wanna thank all my bros here for their input, and showin that you care..right now, I've taken a leave of absence from work just to deal with all the paperwork, I haven't showered in four days, and there are only patches of visible carpet to walk on...I may not leave the house for two months..
I think yes it is very likely. Just be sure to call ahead and make certain they'll let you in the building with it. Some courts are much stricter than others. You might even have to write ahead (sending a copy to the other party) and get special judicial approval to bring it in. It is probably also best to make sure the other side has seen the video before trying to show it to the judge. That in my court can be judge let us recess for 5 minutes to do that or could be done before court. Do you have an attorney? If so, get him involved. Does she have an attorney? If so, go through him. If not, do you have any sort of court order prohibiting contact with her? If so, respect that and deal with this in the hearing. If not, show it to her as close to court as you feel is necessary. If it's impeachment (something to refute a claim she is making), it can get tricky deciding just when to spring it on her for maximum effect. I know lawyers are expensive. I hate that. I'm a public defender because I like helping people who need help. With all of that said, a lot of people I know say the best money they ever spent was a lawyer to get them through things like this.
