Well we only rush 4 very often, and drop 7 back into coverage, our front 4 is very good at getting pressure, namely Long and Quinn. Its going to be a good game, very low scoring, good game.

You all have Janoris Jenkins - the best cornerback in this year's class by a mile. Well done Les Snead.

That's all I have to say.

The reason teams are throwing the ball is because this team has dominantly shut down run games. As far as rushing offenses we have faced the 6th best rushing attack in the league and shut it down (Houston). It's not just stopping them..it's dominating them. Which has made teams one dimensional in throwing the ball. Miami has the most attempts passing against which is where the yards are coming from.....however we rank 4th in QB accuracy against (Rams are 17th) and 9th in qb rating. In other words they aren't very efficient when they are passing also..they just get the yards because they have to pass alot.

Rams and Dolphins are very similar in many ways, for the present and the future.

This could be a SB preview for 2014.

Well all I know is this is going to be a close game. Chris Long is the guy I'm worried about. That and the kicker!

Yah that's the only way I see Miami losing this is if it gets real defensive for both sides and it comes down to the kicking game.

I haven't seen one Rams fan trash the Dolphins. Just Rams fans saying it's ridiculous that some Dolphins fans think they will blow the Rams out when the Rams defense is very stout and the Dolphins have been in tons of close games also.

Some of our newer members arent familiar with the fact that during the year we are visited by opposing teams fans. We had a ton of bengals trolls last week so a few are a bit on edge. Excuse them. Just keep it clean and you are welcome to stay Derek.

As for the game I am looking forward to seeing how Miami's tackles hold up. Jake Long has a great reputation but hasnt been the same player the last 10 games or so dating back to last year. hes still good enough to give a DE a long day but Chris Long and Quinn are a tougher task then probably anything hes faced short of the Cards DL which wasnt up to snuff without Dockett and JJ Watt on Houston. Currently Jake Long has given up 2 sacks, 2 hits and 2 pressures according to Pro Football Focus which is unusually high for this time of year (kinda tells you something huh lol) but he also isnt blowing people off the ball in the run game like hes done. Its his run blocking that has me worried more then anything else. If he keeps Tannehill's blindside clean then I think this becomes a tougher matchup for St Louis then one would think. And the same hods true for Miami if Chris whoops Jake.

I think we're looking at a 16-13 type game one way or another.

The numbers show when the rams do blitz the coverage is just fine as you can see from the QB rating, and TDs given up etc.

I agree it's likely to be a low scoring defensive game. I understand Tannehill does well against blitzes but the Rams are able to get pressure from Quinn and Long without blitzing and even when the blitz the Rams have such a good cornerbacking crew that they usually don't give up huge plays.

I am not new lol, I was on Finheaven since 2004. I am just tired of seeing the the fans of other teams invade every week. Gets old. Nyjunc, that Bills guy that used to be here forever, they are different, but these new guys every week??? I don't care what they have to say, since I don't care one bit about their teams. They don't mean any of the nice crap they say, they want to pound our heads in on Sunday, just like we want to do. I hate the fake chivalry. I don't give one damn about the Rams and I hope we pound the **** out of them.

Have you lost your mind? You are saying we will make 3 field goals? It will be more like 17-13 or 24-13 with one made field goal and 2 missed field goals.

miami is like 7th with a 75 rating and top 3 with a little over 52 % passes completed, given the way how many passes we have seen, because of our run d, is pretty amazing

i sure hope its hot on sunday, the weather is hopefully a factor

statements like that make you as well as the fan base look ignorant. I am from Florida dude. My 2nd favorite team is the dolphins being that I grew up around them and had season tickets during Marino and all the busts since. I am pleased to see my team successful, though they are not my favorite team being raised a Rams fan. Of course I want to see my Rams win, but no I do not want an *** kicking because then it will make Miami look bad. I want a close game where Rams edge out in OT making both teams look strong but allowing the Rams to sneak off with a win.

It's ridiculous to take any fan speculation seriously. Have fun with the chatter. All these minute stats and factoids faukup is spouting about his team that, like ours, is in its infancy of development...it's all barely relevant. It's fleeting. It's not week 13, both teams are going to move up and down the ranks.

There is not a single thing about the Rams that scares me more than Ourselves coming out flat or not executing. And the same should go for them.
Week 2 we killed the Raiders and the Steeler killed the jets. Week 3, the Raiders beat the Steelers and the Jets beat us. It's a crazy season.
Just sit back and enjoy the game.

Yeah I hate Cheapshot Finnegan, always have. I hope Hartline or Bess gives him an Andre Johnson type buttkicking.

As for the rams D, ya'll have a pro bowl type player at every level of your D but unsure if Mikell will be playing after the shot he took last Thursday vs the Cards. Your safeties arent great to begin with...

I never said the Rams would need to blitz but the Phins OL has been paying reasonably well (aside from Jon Martin in pass protection) so you probably should plan on it. Then again we've been gashing teams on the ground. Aside from Finnegan and Jenkins nothing among your DB's impresses me much. That said after Bess/Hartline our wr's suck also.

I have no problem with other teams fans unless its our immediate rivals (i.e. Jets/Pats/Bills). If someone comes here to talk and not act like a tool theyre welcome. Its your responsibility to ignore them if you dont like it.

I was thinking more like we'd miss an extra point :)

    1. Youre not going to call one of our members an idiot or stupid. We dont allow that from our own fans on this board, we definitely will not allow it from another teams fans.
    2. You came to another teams board. You have to expect that at least a few members will not like the team we are playing that week. I would strongly suggest ignoring those posts.

If bess or Hartline punch Finnegan then they'll be thrown out. It would be exactly what Finnegan hopes for when instigating.

Also you've only gashed 2 teams with the run game. The Raiders who may be the worst run defense in the league and the Jets who are one of the bottom 5 or 6 as well. Every other game you've been held under 85 yards. I think you'll have success running for sure but the Rams run defense has been much better since Michael Brockers(their #1 pick this year) returned.

I just don't see anyway this isn't a competitive game. Let's be honest there are still a lot of questions left about both teams. Both defenses have played relatively well but both have given up huge numbers passing a couple of games and both have played relatively mediocre opposition. Obviously the biggest questions remain about both teams offenses. Both Tannenhill and Bradford have played well at times and awful at times. Both are still very young and still developing(Bradford is actually only 6 or 7 months older than Tannenhill).

I do and this can go either way. If one team turns the ball over a few times. If Miami has some unfortunate turnovers or the Rams have some unfortunate turnovers that leads to some easy points, I do not see either offense really being good enough to make a comeback.

Dating back to last year the Rams are a very bad road team.
Couple that with the fact they are a dome team coming down to play in hot as hell Miami, and that doesnt bode well for them.

The only time I've seen Tannehill play awful is 2 to 5 minutes against Housten when we were beating them before and after that happened. That 2 to 5 minutes can be credited to the best defensive player in the NFL this year...JJ Watt who leads the league in sacks with 8.5 and leads the league in tipped passes with 8.

This is a tough game to figure out.

I think both teams have similar talent in a lot of places. The Dolphins have better OLs, LBs and WRs. I think with Reggie ailing the Rams have better RBs, a better QB, and IMO a much better Secondary. The mesh between all that is pretty interesting because even though our WRs are better, their Secondary is better which makes the battle between those units a wash. Even though our LBs are better their RBs are (currently) better so that makes that sort of a wash. Our OLs are much better pass protectors but Sam Bradford is a better QB than the rookie Tannehill (yes I realize a bunch of irate people are going to say, "But, but, but, but, but!" to that one). They have one STs advantage in that their kicker is in range pretty much any time they cross the opponent 40 yard line, whereas we're in range only when we get to the opponent 25 yard line.

We have a rookie head coach still trying to figure out his scheduling and how he handles the week. He's already made some adjustments and there's been some positive press about them. But Jeff Fisher is a well experienced Head Coach coming off a mini-bye week due to playing on Thursday night. He's 3-1 from 2008 to 2010 when coming off an extended rest due to a Thursday/Friday night game, with an average point differential of +11.0 points. He's 11-5 (0.688) in total in his last 16 regular season games where he had extended time for rest and preparation due either to Thursday/Friday games, or Bye weeks. The average point differential was +6.1 in those games versus the average over the period of +0.8 with a 0.573 record. The line is set by Vegas at -3.5 in favor of the Dolphins. Jeff Fisher only lost 2 of those 16 extended-rest games by more than a field goal. Something to take note of, if you're a Vegas bettor.

Furthermore, both coaches are coaching teams that are riding emotional highs. The Rams got above 0.500 for the first time in 6 years by beating the undefeated Cardinals on prime time television. That's an emotional high. The Dolphins are riding a confidence high after the way their offense performed against those same Cardinals, and their going up to a 3-1 team's house and beating them physically, mentally and on the scoreboard.

Which coach can manage those highs better? Yet to be seen. Jeff Fisher obviously has the experience advantage, but after beating the Redskins and getting their first win of the year, they got doused by the Bears. Yet when they won again in an emotionally charged division game against the Seahawks, with all this pressure on them because they were very close to getting above 0.500 for the first time in most of a decade, they turned around in a SHORT week and beat the pants off an undefeated division rival. That's impressive.

The Dolphins rode a severe emotional high early in the year when they beat the hell out of the Raiders at home. Ross gave a game ball to Philbin for his first win, the locker room was into it, Philbin almost broke down into tears at his press conference, there was a lot of emotion associated with that solid victory. They came back the next week and botched a division home game against the hated Jets in overtime. Not good. But just like the Rams got to show that they can manage the emotional highs their second time around as opposed to the first time when they failed, the Dolphins will get the chance to show they can do that as well.

But then you've got the biggest of X factors and that is the Miami heat and humidity. It's going to be out in full force this Sunday. The game is at 1:00 pm when the sun will be at its hottest. The forecast is for scattered thunderstorms but only 30% chance of rain. The UV Index will be at 9 which is Very High and results in skin damage within 15 minutes (not that the skin damage will matter, but the temperature down on the field will be affected, as will the Rams' dark uniforms). The temperature is expected to be 85 degrees with 71 percent humidity which means a Heat Index of 93 degrees. Cloud cover will be the big question mark. It was sunny and hot for the Raiders game and the Dolphins ran away with that one, especially in the second half. On the other hand, I was at the Jets game and the cloud cover was heavy, and it was not oppressive at all for a 1pm game. I've been to 4pm games that felt exponentially more hot/humid.

The way the injury situations flesh out will play a factor in all this. Looks sure (to me) that Richard Marshall and Daniel Thomas will be out but it's tough to say how much they'll be missed especially with Danny Amendola out on the other side. I would pay attention to the injury situations and then look up at the sky on game day and if it's sunny with few clouds, I'd be tempted to go for Miami here. If there's significant cloud cover I'd go for the Rams to cover.

I'm not sure if the weather is going to play as big a factor as everyone thinks. Being in St. Louis, the humidity and heat are also pretty crazy, so at least they are used to it during the off season but not for season games.

I think it will affect all of the rookies who have not lived in St. Louis long though.

I think it will be an extremely close game but mostly due to the fact that neither offense will really get rolling and many field goals will happen. I feel both Qb's will be running for their life, and Bradford will have to adjust for the 1st half without Amendola there.

This is the first game we have been favored all season, I believe. Heavily favored now at that. it started close to 50/50 and keeps changing, going more towards MIA every day. its around 65/35 now. obviously, means nothing, any given sunday blah blah. but still, The momentum is awesome. I'm sticking with my 30-16 miami win. Can't waittttttt.

The fins are 3 point favorites which is just home field advantage. Even Vegas says this is unknown being that they basically said it is 50/50. Fins just get the 3 point spread every home team is given.

According to defensive rankings on PFF, I believe Bradford will be running for his life more, and when Tannehill runs he doesn't run for his life, he makes plays. He is very accurate on the run.
