Trying to be constructive here. We are a decent team. Where do you think we need to improve. I will go first. Just under 2 minutes and we have 3rd and 8 or 9 to go. Instead of taking the clock to 1 minute by running the ball ,we throw on third and our back runs out of bounds. End result we give the ball back with almost 2 minutes on the clock.........................
Need Gaffney to shake up the rust and give us a solid 3rd WR. Bench Clay and bring out Egnew and hope to god he's improved. Cut down on turnovers....and start making some passing TD's.
Reggie is definitely hurt. He looked his usual the first 2 runs after the half. Even the announcers mentioned it. I believe he had a 9 yard'r and a 22 yard'r. I was like....yes!!!! then he seemed to tail off the more he played. I hate to say it but maybe we need to rest him next week.
Can't blame them for that third down throw. It was executed perfectly. Low risk, high percentage throw that may have given us a first. Worst case scenario was what happened on the bonehead out of bounds play. Can't execute much better than that.
Can't help but agree Bro. We definitely need to be trying out a kicker. If nothing else but to send a message.
Just some play calling and better execution on good play calls. I like how we started to use Bush more in the passing game and I like how we started using Javorski more! Things will get slightly better when Gaffney gets in the game. Tannehill is continuing to look better and better! I didnmt see any blatent rookie mistakes. Like you said the only improvement is some better play calls from Sheman at critical times. Other then that, the rest of the improvements we need will come this off season!
agree the play was executed very well. But giving the Bengals an extra minute to come back and beat us is suicide by stupidity.
-3rd Wr -better Oline play Most importantly, THill has to know when to check out of negative run situations, 8 in the box and he checks to a run is not going to work moving forward. Cb depth is an issue as well.
Tanne is learning and you can bet it will be brought up in the film room this week. What concerns me is the easy stuff. Like running out of bounds on 3rd and 8 with under 2 minutes left. That is coaching!!
I know that's right. I am sooooooooo happy we won. I was literally cussing up a storm at the end because I was waiting for the end to end badly. It never came. What a great feeling.
That is on the player, tbh, CC9 has been wildly inconsistent this year. DTrain looked like he got his bell rung again.
REGGIE BUSH NEEDS TO RUN FORWARD AND STOP KILLING OUR DRIVES!!! Caps were meant to be on to display me screaming! Also can we stop with 1st and 2nd downs as runs 80% of the time.. Mix it up let Tanny pass more often..
Bush's problem is decision-making, which I don't think is affected by anything physical going on with him right now.
I looked at it different. I thought the hip was an issue. Maybe not? Sometimes I am like, wow this guy is the real deal. Then other times it is very frustrating. Bush is by far our best back though.
To be fair it's hard to run forward when you'd be running up the back of your offensive lineman. There were 2-3 plays he could have cut up for maybe 2-3 yards but generally I don't mind Reggie bouncing plays out when there is no-where forward to even run without crawling up someones booty.
The running game is killing the offense. I understand they don't want Tanny throwing 40 times a game. But he's the most efficient player right now. And all our running game is doing (especially the horrible Thomas) is making it harder for Tanny on 3rd down. Defensively we need our pass rush to sustain itself into the second half. It would also be nice if Carpenter reverted back to what he was the past several years.
On the last drive of the game, runs of 3 yards, 3 yards, and 4 yards get a first down and win the game. That's not when you dance around and try to "create" something. That's what tells me his problem is mental. Even in a situation where it's obvious a back should be hitting it up in there and getting what he can, Reggie Bush is still trying to "create." His problem is mental IMO.
I know what you're saying. I felt the same way, but that Reggie TD would have never happned if he did that. lol
That has always bothered me. You see it all the time. The back runs into the line and then falls down regardless of weather there is room there or not. I always likened it to pointing out your line is not doing its job. Personally I like the fact that Reggi recognizes this and improvises. After all, nothing is nothing. But, turning nothing into something is a valuable trait; if, of course one can do it consistently.
Even when it results in losses of yardage far more often than not? Why would you prefer negative two yards to zero yards?
Nah, much of what that is revolves around 8 men in the box, the only real daylight is to look for a cut back lane. THill has to check out of that, but he was playing a close to the vest game today.
No Sir, of course not. I was not aware this was happening. I guess I been looking at Reggie as a whole and not just that part. I have been pleased with his proformance as a whole......you??
We have a few bad players on offense. Daniel Thomas, Charles Clay, Anthony Armstrong and Javorskie Lane are giving us nothing. They all need to be replaced.
Prior to the game at Arizona, yes. From then on, not by a mile. I actually think he's been a tremendous liability the last two weeks.
It's a talent issue in my opinion. We are essentially in year one of a rebuild. That said, - A litte more consistency from Tannehill, this will come. - Better red zone play on both sides of the ball. - More plays on defense. We need to start coming up with loose balls. This has been an issue for a few years. - Reggie Bush has to stop dancing. See hole, hit hole, take the profit. I thought Rich Gannon had a good line during the game "you'll never go broke taking the profit". He's trying to hit the home run, forgetting that the home run takes time and patience. The Raider game, with all those big lays, may have been the worst thing to ever happen to him. - Gaffney has to get up to speed now and produce yesterday. We need more targets. - Chris Clemons must be replaced in the offseason. - Our lack of depth at corner will kill us eventually. This is a much better football team than I thought we would be. I think Joe Philbin is doing a hell of a job. I'm not too crazy about the jobs Sherman and Coyle are doing however. They both seem to make unusual decisions at odd times. I can't say I am disappointed thus far. We are 2-3 and could EASILY be 4-1. We gave the Texans everything they could handle until we had a bad 2:00, slapped the Raiders, should have beaten the Jets and Cardinals and beat a decent Bengals team on the road in a game we had to show a lot of resiliency.
And he's doing that even when all we need is one first down to win a game. Stupid if not selfish IMO.
We need Egnew to get in the game. Charles Clay with the BONEHEAD play on 3rd down inside 2 minutes going out of bounds. I believe he also had a drop not too long prior to that. Clay has been beyond frustrating this year.
What, not 100% mentally enough to know when his team needs just 10 total yards over three successive plays to win a game?
So Tanne needs to check out and throw a quick slant or another high percentage pass play. I would just keep running the same thing over and over until they stop it. I am sure we could come up with something. We should screw with everyone and bring back the wild kitty.......... 2012 style
