That would sure look better without the two picks.

    Or the loss.

Still, seems the future may be brighter.

Stop getting snakebit, Phins! About five minutes of consistent play instead of crap, and this team is 4-0.

The kid is awesome...Hartline fell on that one pick.

He threw for 245 yds to Hartline alone :sidelol:

I give two sheits about the win or the loss. In fact, I don't mind having these flukey losses for next year's draft.

The point is this Ryan Tannehill is for real.

The 2 picks suck but the silver lining is, his first pick hartline fell down. The 2nd pick he correctly identified hartlines single coverage down the sideline but the blitz hit him half a second before he could fully release the ball.

Best quarterback we've had since Marino. He'll overcome these mistakes and become a top tier qb in this league. I'm confident of it and not being a homer. Color me impressed.

Guys, Tannehill is very special. Very very special! We are all set at QB for about 12-15 years. This is just the beginning, just wait till he has some real weapons at WR/TE. Days like today suck, but in a couple years, we'll be laughing at them as we're competing for conference championships year after year after year! Today is but one day in the growth process for our new QB prodigy! I am very excited he's ours! He is so smooth out there for a guy who just made his 23rd start last week, ever!

It totally sucks we lost the last two weeks, but we have to at least understand what we have in this kid! He's special, and will be a top 10 in a couple years, and maybe even elite soon after that! He's that good - just wait until he has a couple seasons under his belt!

    Silver lining indeed!

the improvement he has made week to week has been impressive. it may not continue, but it might mean that the upside on the kid is one that actually comes good. maybe.

I get the big picture. Tannehill looks like he could be legit. I'm saying even with him throwing for 400 yards we still can't win. That's the BIGGER picture.

The big picture is, no one really expected the Dolphins to make the playoffs so the fact that the Dolphins may have found a special QB is far more important than whether they won the game or not. It definitely sucks, but I would definitely rather a 6 win season with Tannehill looking like he's special than winning 9 or 10 games with mediocre play at QB and nothing to get excited about with the position.

Turned the ball over 4 times though, we can't do that and expect to win games.

He was a yard away from the greatest rookie QB performance in NFL history. That's saying something. Especially considering the defense he did it against.

Despite the picks, I am very impressed with how he handles himself. Great game awareness, can read a defense and can really hit a deep ball. He's only going to get better going forward. He's going to have up and down moments in games but he atleast has the "it" factor. It's there...I see it. Look at Cam Newton today....Fumbles the ball diving for a game clinching first down. Carolina got the ball back but came up short on third down. They punted...Matt Ryan found Roddy White...End of story.
My point is that Ryan Tannehill is now part of a group of really talented young QB's in Newton, Dalton, Griffin, Bradford, Luck, and Freeman. I think he's ahead of others like Russell Wilson, Weeden, Gabbert, Locker, and even Ponder. For me this is a moral victory, i'll take the security of knowing that we actually have our QB of the future (potential franchise) finally after many years of uncertainty.

Haha yep! And we've never said that before!

Kidding. Tannehill looks real good 90% of the time, and I legitimately feel that the remaining 10% will come with experience.

As heartbreaking as these losses have been, watching Tannehill play and be a leader out there softens the blow a bit. He keeps getting better and better.

When Tannehill throws the football to the worst WR's in football I don't cringe.
He is doing a great job with his progressions and improving. I'm in with this kid.

Isn't that what makes one team better than the other and the concept of sports?? One team executes better than the other and is declared a winner.

Yeah, I don't know if we'll be able to get the return value for our picks. I was on walterfootball.com looking at mock drafts and we could maybe get a good pass rusher, but the WR class looks slow and filled with projects. Crap ton of safeties, though. I think Ireland will have to pay handsomely for a stud WR. Which I'm fine with...

Just bang the side of your TV a couple of times, it will clear up.

Limited QB experience, 4th NFL game, I like what I have seen. And a subpar game next week won't make me want to jump off a bridge either.

Advanced stat as per ESPN: Ryan Tannehill threw for 306 yards against the blitz today. Thats the highest total of any QB in NFL since 2008.
