2nd quarter has been Miami's bugaboo. Miami's been outscored 30-3 in the 2nd quarter through all three games. I'd say they made it through today just fine.

 

I want to see some Lamar Miller in the 2nd half. I also want to see us attack the middle of the field in the passing game.

Why doesn't Sherman call traditional screen passes?

after he got daniel thomas concussed in week one doing the same thing, these coaches are really dissapointing me, feels so Sparano-ish, no agression, no ingenuity, no reggie and lamar together or blitzes and just stupid stupid decisions like this that get players injured for no reason.

Bush will be fine, it didn't look serious at all. I think Philbin believes every run can be a TD if executed properly, thus why Bush was in.

I'd like to see us try and open things up down the field using play action passing in the second half. Give Anthony Armstrong a chance to make a play down field.

In hindsight its easy to say take Reggie out there, but he's got the ability to break a run there to the house every time he touches the ball. Especially when the D is crowing the line and to the middle like they were... all he needs to do is cut one outside, and its 7.

Eugene Chung was a guard. That would be Patrick Chung who is the safety. Though Patrick played college ball in Eugene, Oregon...

 

Yeah let's confuse our own players learning a new system with a bunch of special packages week three. Special plays and formations will come, but they mean nothing if your team doesn't understand how to execute the base offense.

 

Its pretty damn reminiscent of the last 4 years of Miami's offense

I am on board with this. Landry is dirty.

 

The way Reggie is running, he could have broken one off. Had he put us in FG position, how many of would have been saying, "Dammit. He should have keeled down." Or would the same people complaining have been singing the praises of Sherman for being aggressive? I remember quite a few people being happy that we kept the pressure on last week even with a lead. 20/20 hindsight is great.

Also I don't think the refs understand what illegal contact is. When you tackle a player so he cant catch a pass, that isn't illegal contact. Illegal contact would be like...continuing to bump after five yards.
