All that planning and a chance **** winds up nailing Walt... Hank will probably die early in season 5 1/2, I can't see how this drags out with Hank and what he knows. This show has my stomach in knots every week. I am going to miss it.

Noticed something many did not. During the second to last scene, when they're by the pool, the music in the background was Squeeze's "Up the Junction". That's a sOng about a guy who turns from a good guy into an alcoholic. At the end of the song, his wife leaves him and takes his baby girl. Just sayin...

    Connecting the dots for Hank:

    - Walter made hundreds of thousands of dollars playing blackjack
    - Walter is a chemist.
    - Hank was about to bust Pinkman in the RV when he got an emergency call that his wife was in a bad accident.
    - Walt and Pinkman are connected.
    - Hank shot Tuco when on the trail of Pinkman and Walter who mysteriously vanished.
    - Walter spent time in Hanks office at the DEA
    - The obvious link with Gale
    - Walters lack of desire to be sheltered by the DEA/ Hank when their families were believed to be in danger by the Cartel.
    - Hank took Walter to a DEA bust involving meth, giving Walter the idea to distribute meth once he found out he had cancer.
    - The lack of any logical reason on the breakdown of Skyler and Walt's relationship.
    - The staged accident when Hank had Walter drive him to the laundry.

It is not a circumstantial case for Hank. Walter is Heisenberg and the MOMENT he saw WW and Gale linked, everything clicked. Especially for someone like Hank.

    Case against Hank / DEA
    - Hank had the witnesses corraled in prison and REFUSED to make a deal with a witness ready to talk. Buying time for murder plots to go down?
    - Hank has had Walt in his office.
    - Hank put pressure on Gus in an effort to give Walter a monopoly on the meth trade.
    - Hank shot multiple times by the cartel, did they shoot him in an effort to distrupt Walt and the network?
    - Hank beat Pinkman to a bloody pulp, on order from Walter?
    - How did Hank's treatment and PT get paid for? Even if Hank thought it was from blackjack winnings, didn't he know that Walter didn't pay taxes on his gambling earnings?

On second thought, maybe Hank survives. There is enough to pinch Hank if he isn't careful.

Leaving a book given to you by your murdered former associate in your guest bathroom :smh:

Pretty sure Walt's cancer just came back too.

Human nature. Walt murdered 10 people to hide his tracks, yet this proves that no homicidal maniac is perfect. Sometimes the smallest miscalculation can destroy you, despite meticulous and nearly perfect planning.

The writing is amazing. They did it with the plant Walt used to poison brock. When walts in the shower they just pan on the book, foreshadowing the end. I remember watching that scene going, wonder what that book is. And bam its the book that brings down walt

I hate that we have to wait a year to finish this thing. If you are going to split it up, have the 2nd half in January

    1. Did you watch the episode? Saul refused to do it. Saul didn't want any part of bringing Mike anything because of how Mike's lawyer got tailed by the cops. Saul didn't want to get busted helping him.
    2. Mike had no choice or any real reason to be suspicious of Walt, you keep missing that point. The ONLY reason why you keep saying that is because we, the viewer, saw the gun in the bag when Walt opened it. If they didn't show as the gun we wouldn't have thought Mike was a goner.
    3. Again Saul DIDN'T WANT to do it and wasn't going to do it. That's why Jesse volunteered and was rejected by Mike and that's when Walt stepped up. And who cares if he had a gun in the bag or not, even if there wasn't a gun in the bag, it's not like Walt couldn't bring his own to the meeting.

Anyway we keep going back in circles over this, you see it as poor writing while I see it as natural human element of losing your cool/focus not thinking straight leads you to become distracted and thus getting into trouble because your guard is down. Mike lost everything and had no one else to turn to but Walt at that moment, he HAD to trust Walt (even if he didn't want to), he had no choice. It was Walt or getting caught.

EXACTLY. That's how Walt was able to kill Gus and Mike. Humans make mistakes, they let their guards down. Even the smartest people.

    1. Like Saul couldn't just send someone else.
    2. Of course he did! He knows exactly how Walt is. lol Mike knew he had Walt bringing him a bag w/ a loaded gun in it of course he should of thought of the possibility that Walt would take it and use it to kill him.
    3. The fact that he knew there was one in there should of made him extra cautious.

Not really. Mike specialized in things of that nature for how many years? He was as much of a pro as someone could be. Johnathon Banks eluded to not being real happy about how they made his character so careless in his last moments in an interview I just read as well.

    Finally caught up tonight.

While their characters are nothing alike, Saul reminds me of poor (very poor) man's Ari Gould.
    I like the guy.

Re watching the series. At season 3, episode where Hank follows Jesse to the RV. I thought it was interesting in a scene they had Walt cut off the crust off the sandwich he made. Could it be because he cut off Crazy 8s crust, that he now does it?

So part 1 of the season is over? And part 2 of this final season starts next year?

    How does this work?

A couple of shows have done this, like The Sopranos. It's just a big break between episode 8, which aired on 9/2 and episode 9 which will be shown in the summer of 2013.
