So who is Aces and Eights? Only one I know for sure is Luke Gallows. No clue who the other main members are or the leader.

So, me, being a black guy named Harold, couldn't but snicker when I saw a black guy named Harold in that skit.

But with less hair! And now he's out for revenge.

I still can't believe this was an actual "news" post by TMZ yesterday and a lot of wrestlers were asked questions about it on Twitter. It's a freakin' hair cut people.

Imagine if TMZ was around when Metallica decided to cut their hair.

It's more interesting than just about anything on TV for wrestling. It would be funny if Heyman/Brock posted the photo and took credit for making the almighty Samson of the WWE, cut his hair since they already took his power.

But it looks like Paul has moved on to Punk for now.

Is it worth watching Raw tonight? I havent watched in a couple months honestly...the product just lost me. I'll leave it up to public decision.

Probably not, when was the last time RAW was interesting? The 2 minutes when Brock returned after WM and that's it. Once they went to 3 hours the product really went to crap. My suggestion is do something, if anything good happens it will be on YouTube tomorrow. The only thing that might be good is Bret Hart/Punk showdown, assuming that happens.

I have a really bad feeling Jerry Lawler isn't going to be alright. Praying for him, but with no play by play after Cole told everyone Lawler collapsed doesn't seem good. Geez this is crappy right now.

This is kind of creepy watching RAW right now with no play by play.

EDIT: What happened was Lawler basically just collasped in the middle of announcing a match and EMTs took him to the back where he's getting medical treatment.

Pulling for Jerry. I have read people blaming Vince and saying Vince shouldn't be putting King in matches still. The fact is the King still wrestles twice a week and has been for years. He is still an active wrestler. Cole not announcing worries me, but I think he is just to worried about the King and trying to find out any new information

not a stunt. 100% legit. Cole was clearly shaken, you can hear it while he was still calling Kanes match.

In conclusion, yes...you should have watched tonight.

And yes, this is what happens when senior citizens wrestle, even occasionally. You run the risk of over exerting them and having medical issues like what happened tonight. It's sad, scary and dangerous.

Here is hoping that Lawler recovers fully and can go on to lead a normal life AWAY from this ****ed up business. The man is in his 60's, there is no reason for him to keep doing this, in or out of the ring.

And keep this in mind as I am almost positive that this is how Ric Flair is going to go out.

I am probably coming off like a jerk, but I guess I am just jaded and calloused to this type of stuff at this point.

Good to hear Lawler is doing better. It definitely was scary stuff last night. Just a real weird vibe with no play by play and just having to sit and watch angles and skits being done while just waiting for any type of news. One of the more surreal moments in wrestling ever.

Not to get off topic too much but the Punk/Cena promo to close the show was pretty good.

By the way you have to give props to Michael Cole last night. Whether you like the guy or not he was a pro during the show. I really couldn't imagine being put in the position he was in and he handled the situation and himself really well. Here's hoping that although the Lawler situation is/was real, they stop Cole's heel character and let him be a straight up play by play guy from now on as I think the guy has finally earned the fans respect for his job last night. Again not to make light of the Lawler situation by any means.

Will continue to pray for Jerry, I think that was the end of his wrestling career, at least I hope so. Vince hopefully will now come out with a policy about not being an active wrestler if over 50. I don't want to see someone die in the ring again, I know it could happen to someone under 50 but you have to start somewhere.

Hey I've been very vocal about not wanting to see wrestlers past their prime still wrestling but I think we should wait and see what exactly caused Lawler's heart attack before rushing to judgment. I mean it wasn't like he was in an iron man match or doing something stupid like a TLC match (oh wait he did that last year), it was a tag match. Perhaps the heart attack would have happened anyway if he wrestled or not. Who knows.

But to a point you're right, what's the reward for company in having those guys wrestle at that age?

Like I said before, age is a number. What is more important is the type of physical condition he is in for his age which is pretty poor.

It's not even Vince. Jerry wrestles other then wwe events. He does it twice a a week. It's not like he just started to wrestle again.

Jerry is nothing like the Character in the Wrestler. He doesn't drink or do drugs. Side note, his dad died of a young age from a heart attack

Not really how I think it's relevant. The whole can't give up the limelight relevant is what I'm talking about. Giving it all up to entertain, etc.

Eh, I kind of see it a tab but it's a bit of a stretch. Lawler has been in a good spot with the WWF/E for since 1993 both professionally and financially while Randy "The Ram" hadn't be relevant in over a decade and broke, plus Randy knew he was risking his life by wrestling again with his bad heart, I'm assuming Lawler didn't know or he wouldn't have performed. It's not like Lawler needed to have that match on RAW to feel important to himself again.

I think a better example would be Ric Flair, who 10 years ago was considered the greatest ever and now is nothing more than a joke. Between his public financial troubles to him continuing to wrestle WELL past his prime (and killing his legacy in the process) and usefulness. Like Samphin said, Flair most likely won't end well. He's a guy that just can't stay out of the spotlight and feels the need to live his gimmick 24/7.

yeah but again the movies not about just that particular situation. It's about the business as a whole and their cost for not being able to give up the limelight or to stop being the jesters so to speak.

Oh yeah absolutely. I've said many times that pro wrestling is like the mob, there's only 1 way out. Guys don't simply walk away or retire, they only stop because they are forced to either by a career ending injury or death. It's pathetic and sad.

what makes it even sadder is a lot of these guys get their kids into it as well. But look at the injuries these guys sustain. Can you imagine like stone cold or foley? How much pain they probably wake up with every day?

Oh yeah absolutely. Austin has two bad knees and a bad neck. I'm shocked Foley doesn't have any brain damage (and maybe he does) from all the concussions he's gotten over the years. Hogan has two bad knees and at least 1 bad hip. Dynamite Kid can't even walk anymore. And we all know what happened to Benoit. These guys are beat themselves up way too much. That's why I'm glad the WWE went in a PG type root where they toned things down. No more chair shots to the head, no more piledrivers or any moves that risk neck/head injuries. No more getting thrown off cages or insane stunts. The sport is dangerous enough.

"Clincally" dead. There is a difference.

And yes, I can tell you from personal experience what everyday life is like with lingering wrestling injuries, and I was only in the business for a few years. The guys that spent their lives doing this, with major head and body injuries...it's rough.

Sounds like Lawler has a tough road ahead of him but is improving daily which is great. cole was on Fox and Friends to discuss this and came off very good. If only the WWE would let the real Cole come through on television, I think they would have a good play by play man again.

Ah I don't know, I guess it's personal preference but give me Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart, any Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat match or Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at WM (really HBK vs. anyone), Kurt Angle or The Rock in their prime, heck CM Punk vs. John Cena at MiTB '11 over any of the TLC or Hardcore matches. Those are gimmick matches and after awhile they lose the intrigue.

Don't forget while those gimmick matches were great, for the most part they were lower or mid-level card matches, at that time the main events almost always delivered because you had Stone Cold, The Rock, Angle, Triple H, Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Mysterio, Michaels all in their prime at various times. I bet if you bring back all of those gimmick matches right now with the current roster you still wouldn't like the product as much simply because the wrestler talent level isn't there nor is the storylines/writing.

Gimmick matches lose the effect if you have the wrong people doing them. I could have watched TLC 6,7,8,9 if the Dudleys,Edge and Christian and The Hardy's were in them. Its all on the performers IMO. You mix in a ladder match with the likes of Big Show and its like what the heck are you doing? Shelton Benjamin was alot of fun to watch in them kind of matches as well. I honestly wish they would give Cena a break, let him sit back for a awhile like HHH, use to do from time to time. Its not even an issue about him being over anymore its an issue of people are just sick of seeing him. Let Punk carry the torch as a heel for awhile and mix in some others from time to time to keep it rolling. And my prayers are with the Lawler family.....that was a scary moment.

So Lawler collapsed in the ring during Raw? That's a shame but I'm glad he lived. I agree that they should let Cole become the serious number one play by play man.
